  1. I know very well what you mean Mike about starting another build when you have several of more already started. I've been holding myself back from starting several projects in hopes of finishing some others first. It's really tough!
  2. Wow, both of those '40 Ford trucks are really nice. I was going to get one when they're released, but decided against it only because I'm trying to cut back on the number of kits that I buy.
  3. Just showcase models using YOUR decals.
  4. Nice builds, especially that "Pete."
  5. I also have a '69 Nova painted Testors Icy Blue and am happy with the way it came out? To each their own I guess?
  6. Well if the paint is out-of-scale, how about the thickness of it also? And how about the thickness of the plastic and the glass too? I thought that modeling was supposed to be creative and fun, but yet there are people who nitpik about EVERYTHING. What's next, the box art?
  7. And a Landau top also.
  8. It most certainly is and the color is street hemi orange. That also goes for the '70 440 engine too.
  9. Donn is right about not needing to clear over decals. If you think that the clear is going to protect the decals, protect them from what? Rain, snow, sleet, hail? Models are not toys and how much are you really going to handle your model once it's finished?
  10. That's NEVER going to happen Harry as the market just isn't there anymore.
  11. Model Cars magazine has a wide variety of articles in it, so why couldn't that be incorporated in the mag also Harry?
  12. Are you sure that is a Vicky? It looks like a Model A Sedan and not a Vicky to me.
  13. Are you moving out west before the "snow flies" Harry, or are you going to stick around and enjoy another cold, blustery, and snow filled Chicagoland winter?
  14. Congrats on your recent marriage. Will you be teaching your bride to build models or did she say that you're DONE???
  15. I just used Testors primer the other day under Dupli-Color and it works for me. Try it!
  16. That "Stude" looks great and I really like the two-tone paint on it.
  17. Hopefully I won't be buying too many kits in the future as I already have WAY too many kits already. It's getting kind of old buying new or re-issued kits just to throw on the "pile."
  18. You're not really going to leave Illinois are you Harry? If you do youknow that when elections come up that you can only vote ONCE!
  19. But here in Illinois we already have one Governor in jail and another awaiting sentencing. Who'll be next???
  20. On November 19th & 20th at the Donald E.Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (Chicagoland) Illinois will be the third annual Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals car show. There will be a model car contest again this year so bring down and enter your models and enjoy a really great muscle car and Corvette show also.
  21. I'd buy it and I like the fenders too as not too many Deuce kits have them.
  22. Polar lights had some pre-painted kits also such as the "64 GTO and '65 Coronet and they're still available as I see them at swap meets.
  23. Rob, it's kinda hard to make seat belts and harnesses without the photo-etched hardware. Ifyou're on a tight budget, I suggest you either forget about seat belts or hand paint the hardware on the belts.
  24. Chris your models look great and your friend did an awesome job on that drive-in reataurant, just awesome!
  25. Nice build Paul, maybe I should move too and I'll find some good stuff? Nah, that's a bad idea. As far as what the car is worth today, it's ONLY worth what somebody will pay for it. Nothing more and nothing less.
