I have an early Styline kit down in the stash and there is nothing that exactly fits the Battlebird mods. I think there are headrest fairings in the kit, but not like the Battlebird. Here are the instructions from the Drastic Plastic site. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/ford/1951-1960/amt-57-t-bird-troph/?view=roll#7

A lot of these small vendors have stopped US ship temporarily due to duty collection process issues. eBay may do that, but Etsy might not. Best to email him on eBay see what he says. The last order I got from him was before the duty collection snafu. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and have gotten orders from him.

Are you specifically looking for the Pre-Painted Drift Car version? If not, it appears that Round2 is reissuing it

I won the model at a raffle a while back and it has been sitting on the shelf. I decided to do this as I was recuperating from my cataract surgery. There was a several week period of very reduced strain on the eyes. The way I build meant no detail models. So, I elected to do this as an Out of the Box. I will not tell you how difficult it is for me to do Out of the Box (something I have not done in decades). This is especially true when you get to the engine/engine and chassis areas. This issue of the Revell kit has a lot of decals that will help detailing. So, a good choice for a detail fanatic such as me. The biggest problems I had with the kit is not being able to detail the engine, chassis and interior. Especially galling to me were the decal seatbelts. As the instructions required setting them as decals, I didn’t even have the option to cut them out, color the edges and glue them to the seats. The biggest body problem was not being able to correct the front flares of the wheel wells. The kit body is flared out whereas the actual car has these as an add on. So I assembled per the instructions, detail painted and decaled (with kit supplied decals) as best I could. The engine was painted using some Testors Pontiac Engine Blue that I thinned and shot through my airbrush. I have enough of that paint left for perhaps one to two more engines of the 66-69 era. Interior painted with Tamiya Matte and Semi-Gloss Black. I elected to do the body in Lucerne Blue (rather than the more common white) that I got from Scale Finishes. Clear coating was done with Mr. Hobby Super Clear UV Cut Gloss and then polished out.

Finally finished this up. I just need to work a little more on the closure of the hood. It closes and slightly pops open. May need to add a magnet. We’ll see. Anyway, this is sort of a customized street machine. Some body mods done like shaved door handles and kit custom bumpers and grill. Here is what else I did: Customized the interior with Grommet Ring Front and Rear Set from Texas 3D customs. Cannibalized a spare AMT 57 Ford Fairlane dash with the Revell to get more detail and added air conditioning vents. Added a steering column with turn signal and gear selection. Added wood graining to the cargo area using Microscale decals. Added aftermarket inside door hardware. Wired and plumbed the engine and engine bay. Added a Fireball Modelworks FITech FI system to an AMT 427 engine replacing the Y block Ford with the kit. Had to modify the radiator hoses for the new engine and added a modern power brake unit. Added Hasegawa Clear Orange Finish to the rear side windows for tinting. Used AMT Parts Pack Gold Stripe tires with parts box Chrome Reverse wheels. Added valve stems to wheels. Did a two-tone paint with Tamiya Metallic Orange and Platinum Gold. Cleared with Tamiya TS-13 Clear. During the clearing process, I added some pin stripe decals.

Revell/Monogram 64 is not bad, but is 1/24. Polar Lights does a 64 that is simple but has more detail than their 65. The AMT 65 is an old kit repopped several times and chassis is way old school. If choosing one, I'f first opt for the 66 by Revell. Here's the one I did, with some upgrades. The Hurst wheels are from the Royal 66 kit variation.

If I recollect, and I'll check downstairs as I have the kit, that is a 1/25 not 1/24 kit. The old Auroras like the Jag, 250 GTO, Maserati and Aston DB4 were 1/25. Those were the ones picked up by Revell.

There is always the SP2, if you want a copilot. -

Nice Monza SP1, but probably the plainest color scheme I've seen on them. -

I think there was a Fred Cady set, but there be limited colors if found. I can check my decal stash but don't think I have it. -

No. There are options in the USA for quality paints. Since Gravity specializes in foreign brands (although some US manufacturers), try Scale FInishes or Splash Paints. Either will also mix custom colors to a degree. US brands add MCW to the mix. Splash Paints has limited US colors and Scale Finishes quite a few. Have used all and work well. Have ordered from all with no regrets.

This is my spare body from Greg Wann. Nicely molded with some flash. Based off the original AMT 67 Camaro. There are a lot more things needed to be done to get a reasonably accurate 67 Pace Car Replica such as: 67 SS Hood, convertible boot (69 should work), interior mod to the AMT 67 Z28 interior for the convertible buttresses at rear seat, decals with correct color (light blue), etc.
