  1. He is still in business but trying to catch up on orders. If in the USA, your best bet is to order through Rays Decals North America. Joe Morgan is in Wisconsin and does the communication and ordering with Ray in the Netherlands. Be prepared for a long wait though. The decals are high quality, but he can only produce so many in a batch to get reliable outcomes from his printer. I have still two outstanding sets on order for about 5 months now. Joe does not charge until the decals are in his hands. So, I plan my projects accordingly. sunbird93racer@yahoo.com is his email address. Determine what you want from Ray's web site.
  2. My recommendation would be to follow Steve's advice at paint from a distance. Personally, I use the Rustoleum textured paint to simulate basic carpeting where flocking or embossing powder was not a good option. To me, that would mean it is too thick (scale wise) for the texture of a valve cover. Zero paints make a textured paint that could be used for that purpose but pricey to order and experiment with.
  3. Not really a Ford fuy either. Just wondering if you had all the pieces you needed.
  4. YUCK!! The PO was closed today but I will get it in the mail tomorrow or Saturday. It's in the smallest box I had that I was willing to put through the PO and inside it is taped to card stock to be sure the scripts don't get bent. In other words, a lot of air space/ Are you building stock or custom?
  5. This is the 58 Kit I have
  6. Well, it is the original reissue of a few years back. I've snipped them off the fret and wrapped them. I'll try to mail in the next day or two.
  7. I pulled out my 58 unbuilt kit and clipped the script from the PE Fret and this is what you'd get. I highlighted the model's script to make it easier to compare. Works?
  8. Let me clip them out and get them to you.
  9. With the very few Cadillac's my stash I can confirm that most have little to no decals for crests or interior details. Even the Revell 59 (original issue) I have does not. Nor the IMEX 58, Johan 70 Eldo. Only the Revell Escalade has some crest decals as well as dash details. Its possible some have gotten lost over time, but instruction sheets were not showing any mounting steps. Best model car parts have some limited Cadillac dash details. But that is all I am aware. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=bestmodelcarparts&store_cat=0&store_name=bestmodelcarparts&_oac=1&_nkw=cadillac
  10. And there are two sets of fender scripts. See them in the photo. One consideration is the Monogram is 1/24 and the scripts are for 1/25 kits.
  11. You're right on the Tamiya. I have these two as well that I think are reasonably detailed but would have to check them to see. I'll check the contents later today.
  12. What you're referring to could change (I'm guessing) over time other than basic emblems. Any year range you're focusing on?
  13. Let me pull it out and measure it for you. Let me check that I have the spare and if I do, I'll post a photo. I'll get at it later today. I'm doing one 57 as pure stock, but an F-code using the Revell engine and AMT 56 chassis. The other 57 is going to be a custom from this kit
  14. Do you know if the MCG 57 Thunderbird scripts would work? I think I have an extra PE set but would have to check. Also, any photo of what you're seeking?

  16. Getting closer. The vinyl roof is applied, and I need to clean things up a bit. Also got the engine to the chassis. Need to adapt the exhaust system to it as it is a 327 not 396 as in the kit. May get it done by Saturday, but we'll see.
  17. If it works, I have an extra kit that I am going to sell at a swap meet. But it would have to be a trade for the whole kit, I am NOT parting it out.
  18. Keep in mind that the real pace car hood stripes are Hugger Orange. Most decals, including Revell's are too Orange. Keith Marks' are too red. I wound up making my own stripe decals. My version Real Car
  19. I picked up a pair at an IPMS show a few years ago that looked pretty good and are still sitting in the parts box. Trying to remember whom, thinking it was UMM-USA. I'll have to pull them out to photo them. Seems to me they were about right for the AMT Double Dragster kit.
  20. I’ve assembled the interior. Added the scratch built aftermarket slip on head rests as close as I can get them. Taking it as far as I plan other than some dusting before “marriage” to the body. It looks convincing to my eye and as how I remember it. I know most of the work will not be visible once installed in the body, but I just had to do it. A new technique for the door locks (to me anyway). Insect mounting pins. They’re thin enough and have a relatively decent shaped head for the lock top. They’re way longer than needed, but I clip off what I don’t need and put them in the detailing parts box. Engine is in work and the chassis underway. Getting ready for final clear coat on body before doing the vinyl top.
  21. Interior getting close to finished. I added all the trim detail using chrome pen. I completed the center console adjustment for the auto trans. Added the seat belts (interesting for the big Impala in 65, no center seat belt in the back seat, just the two ends). Detailed up the dashboard but need to do a bit more cleanup. Added a parking brake pedal and release handle. Still need to cobble the slip-on headrests (bought from The Warshawsky Company). Next, assemble the interior and add to the chassis; finish clear coating the body and then mask and do the vinyl roof; and build up the engine.
  22. I've used Aoshima wheels on previous builds. One thing to consider is that they wheels are 1/24 and the model applied to is 1/25. Effectively, the 19 inch wheel shown in your photo would scale out to about a 20 inch on the model. The wheels/tires are also wider in many cases and could be a problem for fitment in the wheel wells, particularly the front. As Mark already said, it is best to have the model in hand and measure your clearances before making a wheel choice. Here's a 66 El Camino with Aoshima 18 inch wheels used.
