  1. That makes more sense although I have seen one at a show on a pickup truck. I always wondered if that had to be a trailer queen as I could not contemplate how any finish wouldn't be abraded by the pads.
  2. Well, you could do the hat and caliper in black. Wilwood offers the following, but I would have no idea how long the rotor would retain that black finish in real road use:
  3. Yes. It is a Weiand air cleaner but looks similar to the Edelbrock you depicted. Oddly, the chrome valve covers are Edelbrock.
  4. It is a Weiand as best I recall. I can check as I think I still have one kit.
  5. Their info at IHOBBY was 2Q2015. There was a placard by the display models. But, Dave would be the best to answer.

  7. No, it is a real tool. Works well with Super Glue.
  8. These are photos of the SNAP version test shot shown in early August at the GTR NNL. Informational only.
  9. Chris does excellent work. I have several wheel sets of his as well as a couple of transkits.
  10. They are looking at doing it. I pushed hard for it to be done!! Oh, and it is a Bobble head!!!
  11. And some additional pix:
  12. Let me try this one more time. Photos of built models are for information purposes only. These were not photographed for review or accuracy analysis. Per the manufacturer, in many cases review models are composites of multiple test shots and may show issues already being addressed, such as the cab of the 1971 Ford Long-Bed or windshield wipers on the Ventura. Photos were shot with zoom lens in the 45-55 mm focal length and with auto-aperture and auto-ISO. This is to allow for the dynamics in a show environment where there is no stationary booth for photography. In an effort to reduce distortion, most shots were done at distances between 1-2 feet from the subject and the image cropped. Some close-ups were done at higher zoom.
  13. That is what Moebius said they are looking at doing. Question is cost and what market there is.
  14. I took the shots out of the case as well. A show environment has severe limits as to how well you shoot. There is no good way to get a camera angle plus avoid lighting issues. I am no expert, but the body looked pretty darn good to me. A couple of more knowledgeable people I know think so too. I see the wheel issue. I personally am not a fan of those although they are iconic. I have to say I am a little disturbed on how people can start having at test samples rather than pose questions to Dave, who diligently scans this board. The wheel design is legitimate, perhaps the C-pillar sway. The way I feel right now, no more test shots or box art photos I have are getting posted here.
  15. No parallax as this is a cropped image. However, the Camera lens is slightly higher than the body.
  16. First quarter Revell will be light on "newbies", but 2nd and 3rd quarter will be exciting!!!
  17. OK. One more pic of the Ventura. Oh and it is slated for 3Q2015
  18. Per Round2 there will be two versions of the Piranha kit: Original Art Edition, release date Jan 2015: (The original box art painting was loaned to us by Gene Winfield!) - will include 12 page photo booklet with photos of the real Piranha - planning on molding the parts in metallic blue opaque plastic - will include an extra set of smoke tinted window parts - tires will be pad printed with red pinstripe on one side and blue stripe with Goodyear lettering on the other - will include a newly developed decal sheet with markings for the "road racer" Piranha (not the dragster) - will include an Original Art print Standard Edition, release date April 2015 - molded in white - regular tires (no pad printing) - will not contain any of the extras in the OA version
  19. All other Moebius photos will be in the MCM article
  20. I think it looks quite good. And it is the test shot.
  21. Correct. I am still editing photos and need to go back this AM to follow up.
  22. Expect more parts pack goodies next year!
  23. Revell is NOT at IHOBBY. Model Cars Magazine (meaning me in this case) interviewed them at their HQ last week.
  24. Probably within the next two weeks, hopefully sooner than later. MCM scored photos of test shot/box art model of the most significant 1st Quarter offering. As you are aware, we MUST RESPECT confidences when we interact with vendors. That was the old Man From Uncle car if I recollect correctly.
