  1. Let me say first and foremost this is a greeeat forum and I am learning a lot of different things, but. I must admit I spend more time here than I do at my hobby bench. I enjoy the comments and seeing what everyone is building. But I'm not building. During the week I come home from work to tired to work on models and have just Saturday and Sunday to build. Then when I should be building I'm here. I tell you it is a real dilema.
  2. Welcome aboard. I am also a fairly new member, several months anyway. I just got back into modeling after a very long absence and I am amazed at the quality of building models contained on this site. But don't worry there all nice people and more than willing to help.
  3. The very words kitbashing and scratch building would seem to require no explanation.
  4. Well I'll say one thing, those Ohio boys can sure build some great models. I love it.
  5. The engine is looking good. The ride height is perfect. The interior is looking great. The body is perfection. great job.
  6. I never could understand why a person would take a perfectly good model and weather it up to look like a piece of forgotten junk, however you have done a real good job of doing it. That is what's so nice about modeling and this forum, you build to satisfy yourself. Good job as far as I'm concerned.

Just recently built one of these myself. The difference between yours and mine is I painted mine yellow. Good job.
  8. Those were the days when stock cars were exactly that, stock cars built up and raced by men. Those were the GREAT days of racing. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post these.
  9. You know a car has style and character when it looks good painted pink and white. Looking good.

  12. Really good build, showroom condition. Congrats
  13. Good Lord, I thought I had gotten together a lot of models to build when I had 15. Some of you guys have more on hand than a local Hobby Store. Now that's what I call a die-hard model fanantic. Just kidding.
  14. Glad to have you join this forum. I'm sure you will find the people here very friendly and more than willing to help.
  15. It has been a looooong time since I have built any models so this one was a real fun build for me. It is very similar to the style of models available back in the sixties. I tried posting pictures but a window came up telling me the file was to big so I did it this way. There are mistakes and some parts were missing but I am satisfied for now. I hope to get better as time goes on. http://public.fotki....965-pontiac-22/
  16. Lost my brother to Lung Cancer fifty-one years ago. He was only twenty-six years old, I was eight. Thank you, a nice clean build .
  17. I seem to remember this one as an old model from the sixties, I think I even built one.
  18. Being a person that appreciates raw talent when I see it means I appreciate your postings. Your eye for colors and detailing is great. Keep up the great work and keep posting them.
  19. I'm just getting back into modeling after a long 45+ year absence. Giving consideration to the size of these big rigs perhaps I should start here. But then again all I know about trucks is they are big.
  20. Giving consideration to the size of the different parts, not to mention the photo etched items, I don't see how you guys do it. This build is simply suberb abd I thank you for taking us along for the ride.
  21. Words fail me when it comes to commenting on this build. Perhaps that would not bother most people but being a Preacher it does bother me. Fantastic, Awesome, Bind boggling sort of describe the words I am looking for. Congrats, you are a true Master of the craft of Model Building.
  22. Welcome back into one of the best hobbies around. You have joined a grrrrrreat forum here as the information and inspiration you will recieve is fantastic. I also haver just recently returned and am amazed at how this hobby has changed. have a great time.

  24. I am sorry to bother ya all with this but what are you referring to when you say the Purple Pond? I have one I want to rebuild but am unsure of how to strip it. Will it remove or loosen the glue? Thank you for any and all information.
  25. I just built, over the weekend, the exact same model. A rather simple paint and assemble it. And also for the exact same reason. There are mistakes, I'm learning though so I am pleased.
