  1. Here's another thread going over to the drama queens. No wonder I'm considering leaving this forum.
  2. Ok, I know it's Sunday morning but I haven't touched anything yet. Working on, slowly, a 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner.
  3. Not sure I agree with the one, two, three ratings they all look good to me. The important part is was it fun?
  4. I have sitting on my workbench two different projects. 1- A 1962 Pontiac 421 SD 2- A 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. I got up at seven A.M. this morning, I have drank a pot of coffee and been on this stupid cumputer for three and a half hours. Work on projects- zero. There must be a 12 Step Program Somewhere.
  5. I have given thought to building trucks as the small nature of the model cars I build causes me a problem. Seems my fingers don't always want to do what I tell them. But then what I know about trucks wouldn't even fill a matchbook cover. Really nice builds, I like them.
  6. Slot cars was something I reallt enjoyed back in the late sixties in Cincinnati, Ohio. Alas i am now living in Cleveland and I don't know of any Slot Car tracks. More than likely to expensive to-day anyway. Interesting build I am enjoying watching this. Thank you for posting it.
  7. This proves it, you are an artist.
  8. That is one way to cool build, great job. The paint job and decals are fantastic.
  9. At least no one was hurt, business insurance can rebuild.
  10. I like it. Good clean build. Might have to get me one and build it. thanks for posting.
  11. Ok, I know you can make realisitc looking headers using solder. I even understand I can make the collector from shim stock. But how do you determine the bends needed as I am under the impression the bends have to do with the increase in HP. Any and all help will be appreciated.
  12. If you ever cut-up a pair of white socks to put carpeting in a model. If you ever raided your Mothers sewing box to wire a distributor.
  13. I am one that has all the tools you mentioned. I guess I never really thought about the concept of using those tools to scratch build my own parts. When I do sit and think about it I see where I could make rims out of aluminum or nylon. I also see where it is concieveable to make linkage and so forth using small threaded rod and aluminum sheets. I am almost ready to try making my own Headers and so forth. One problem I do have however is after making some of those small, miniscule parts, how in the _ _ _ _ do you attach them. I have tried and have difficulty to see things clearly under a magnifier and then theres the distortion I see. It just seems that sometimes my fat hands are in the way. As far as the quality of your builds they are fantastic, I respect you as I do many many others on this forum.
  14. Unbelieveable work on this one, but then that's what we have come to expect.
  15. But, is she still your girlfriend???
  16. Positive comments have nothing to do with anything. I will not allow anything I post to start arguements over childish things like who gets more views than someone else. That's childish.
  17. I always did like this car. Had one many years ago. Great build, looks clean and I love the paint and foil job.
  18. I did NOT start this in order to get an arguement started as to who gets the most views. I personally don't care whether there are one or 100 views of anything I post. I was STRICTLY trying to point out that not everyone builds to the same level. My opinion is this is caused by raw talent and a certain degree of not having the basic building skills.
  19. I really wish I had never said anything at all. It will never happen again.
  20. Looking at the interior shot I can't help but wonder if it's real. if it's a model how the ---- did you get the knobs to look so real and lifelike.
  21. I have done a lot of soul searching to-day and trying very hard to remember what it was like in the sixties when I built models. They are long gone and only the memories are left. Perhaps that weren't as good as I remember them. Perhaps I am strictly trying to get back into a better time. I really don't know. I do appreciate the comments and encouragement that I have gotten on this forum. You guys are ALL nice people and willing to help, something I've never experienced before.
  22. My Aunt Francis had a car just like that, well no radio but other than that.
  23. Welcome aboard. As you already know this is a great forum with some very talented builders that are more than willing to help.
  24. I like this web-site. You have a workbench to die for, I love it real nice man cave. Was a little dissapponited the air brushing link did not work, will check back later.
  25. Great looking model, I like it. Photo's look fine to me.
