    29 ford

Brings back really great memories from a time long gone. Clean lines, a great build. Welcome aboard.
  2. Nothing against those that like any foriegn made car but as far as I'm concerned they can not compete with the style and performance of American Built Fords, Chevys and Chryslers, Especially those built from 1935 to 1965 or there abouts. But that is just my opinion.
  3. Anything built in America, oh, wait the Honda is built in Marysville. Ok anything made by Ford, Chevy and Chrysler before around 1970. But especially those made before 1950.

    Nomad Camper

Yep, I've seen them looking just like that. Always did think they seem to be heavy in the rear and would be hard to steer. Nice job.
  5. That is amazing. The darn thing looks real. Another great one by a true arist.
  6. I really like that interior. I have one on the bench right now but have hit a snag for some reason.
  7. I remember building models back in the early sixties but for some reason the only model I remember is the AMT 1940 Ford which I built several. But, thanks to you posting this, I now remember another one. Now if I could just remember what happened to them. Looks good to me.
  8. Wait untill your 60, I,m looking through the magnifer using my bi-focals.
  9. Looks to be a good clean build. But you really shoud clean her airbrush, those paint splatters are something else.
  10. good Lord man send it to a restoration shop. looks well used I'll say that.
  11. Your first attempt at flaming looks better than mine did. Keep at it and you'll be fine. Nice model I like it.
  12. Can't remember where Duluth is in relation to Fort Benning Ga. but it was HOT during the day, Humidity was real bad and yet it was cold at night. No insult intended but it was a miserable time I spent in GA.
  13. Highway I want to thank you for a capitol idea. I have been sitting here all afternoon trying to figure out a way to keep building in the winter month's and you have come up with a great solution. Being in a small house has it's advantages, spring and fall cleaning are a breeze, and disadvantages, my hobby room is small and there is really no room for a paint booth. Another thought came to mind, I have more discreationary income in the summer than in the winter, those gas bills are rather high sometimes. Buy the models I want in the summer months, buy the paints I will need, spend most of my time preparing bodies and hoods and getting them painted. Do all the rest in the winter when I actually have more time and less money. Thank you again.
  14. The temperature outside is about 64 degrees and a little moist. I am trying to paint a model and having trouble with it coverring and some kind of orange peel. Or at least that's what I would call it. With wintertime approaching how am I going to paint anything? I live in a small house with no basement, crawl space, and no heat in the attic, which is nothing but an overfed crawl space to begin with. HELP!!!! Or does anyone have a used paint booth they would like to sell.
  15. A friend of mine had one of these back in 65 or 66. It had Keystone Mags on the front and Chrome reverse with baby Moons in the rear. It had a 348 in it, actually it had several 348's in it as he kept blowing the engine. Nice job on this one, I love that interior.
  16. There are only two paints I use: Tamiya Acrylics and Model Master, I have good luck with both. Wow, a family that models to-gether, I love it.
  17. Looks to be an interesting build. I like the color combination you described. I have never worked with resin before is there a lot of difference from plastic??
  18. Wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday, I hope you get all you want in life.
  19. First photo I thought it was a Camaro, then I looked at the rest of the car and thought it was a 1972 Nova. Second picture says 1972 Nova. HMMM. interesting combination.
  20. I will have to mark that color down, I really like it. A really great, clean build.
  21. The only one I remember is the Ala-Kart from the early sixties. Come on give me a break, I'm getting old.
  22. Never was able to get a chopped top to look right though it sure works for you on this model. looking good.
  23. Actually all I got was a pegboard and hooks and some paint.
  24. Ok, so the emblem is upside down and a few other things you mentioned. It looks good to me, you know where the mistakes are, and you are going to correct them on your next build. But the question is; Did you have fun building it??
  25. Personally I never cared for the movie and the car would seem to be very difficult to drive being so top-heavy. However I must admit you did a good job on building this model, looks good to me.
