Interesting stuff coming from this guy...
GMP440 replied to 69*Goat's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I forgot to add that I e-mailed RMR asking when the release would be and was told it would come out in a few months. -

That's excellant news. Three weeks ago I also posted this news with the web address link. I've been trying to master a 73 Pontiac Grand AM for a few years , body is pretty much done. -
There is really no transition from novice to intermediate or other different levels of modelling. What your doing in essence is adding things or trying new things. Maybe scratchbuilding more. Those are things that shows the different levels of modelling. It really has nothing to do with being novice, intermediate or advanced. Those are just subjective levels based on who you ask.

Kits We'll NEVER See Re-issued?
GMP440 replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Believe it or not the old MPC 68' Coronet was not modified into the 69. The model company does have the body. Some pieces are missing. Hopefully they will release that one someday. -
Are the Zingers kits out?

How do you like the service? How did you go about transferring your number from a major cell carrier to Tracfone?

What year Grand Prix kit?

I built the Polar Lights 65' Coronet too. I agree with some of the innacuracies that others pointed out. If I were to build another Polar Lights Coronet I would just use the body ,interior, glass, chrome and for everything else I need I would get from the Lindberg 64 Dodge.

I agree with you Chuck about what tooling is lurking deep down in the vaults. If Round 2 can resurrect kits such as the old MPC 68' or 69' Dodge Coronet R/T or the 67' and 68" Pontiac Grand Prix kits there will definetly be a buying frenzy by us model car builders . This in turn will allow Round 2 to see that producing those Holy grail kits will justify to fix old tooling and get more varieties of kits to production.

Plans for paper model of Marmon Wasp here.
GMP440 replied to LUKE'57's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Pretty interesting. Just a thought. You can take the paper pattern and glue it onto thin sheet plastic and do all the parts in plastic instead of paper. It would make for a nicer and stronger body. -
Is this the recent Modelhaus issue of the 70' Coronet 4 door? When did you buy yours? I noticed that the rear wheel openings are the same shape as the 2 door . Modelhaus just reissued the updated one recently but don't know if they ever corrected the rear wheel openings.

Was at the local Wally World and saw a new edition of diecast from Johnny Lightning. Anyone know what scale they are? Saw the 70' Torino and looked at the side of the box for a listing of the other diecast in the series and noticed the 70' Charger is listed. However, the there is nothing on the box that says what scale they are. Thanks.
