  1. The $2200 price for the desk top unit is pretty afordable. This will revolutionize the resin casting industry. No need for making a mold when you got the file in 3D.
  2. Definetly, the 68' Dodge Coronet R/T should be considered for release. I hope the kit companies are seeing this thread. The 68' Coronet R/T can easily be a 3 in 1 kit. A stock street version, nascar version (#99 Paul Goldsmith car) and a drag version. This would be a very flexible kit. I beleive there is a good chance for this to come out and we may very well see this happening.
  3. I would contact MCW and ask to buy just the front grill and tail lights that they cast for their 66' Belvedere.
  4. Never knew the Fiero kit had those. If anyone has a set of those they don't need, I could put them to good use. I can modify that wheel to go from four lug nuts to five. They may be small but those were used on Pontiac Grand Prix's. They were a 14" size. Joe , you mentioned about those wheels being on the 82' Firebird kit. You were right in that they can't be used because Revell casted the wheel cover to the rim. I have that kit and saw that too.
  5. My bad here is the pic.
  6. I'm looking to see what kit or kits could possibly have these wheels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. George
  7. Instead of reissuing the same kits again, I would love to see Revell come out with a 68' Coronet R/T and also a 70' Dodge Charger R/T. Lets develope new tools instead of rereleasing the same thing year after year.
  8. There is a 77' or 76' in resin already. Same body as the 74'. Shown here in a past topic maybe about 9 months ago. I beleive it's casted by RMR resin or Frontier Resins. I could be mistaken on the company name, but it is currently available. The caster is a board member here.
  9. How is the kit? Is the body a good casting and does it result in a good build-up? Thanks. George
  10. Thank you for the suggestion. That's what I have been doing. Just looking for an effective way for this.
  11. I have been working on a stock body 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 + 2. The problem I am having is duplicating the wheel openings. The shape, is ok but it's the recessed part of the wheel opening that the wheel well trim is mounted that I am having trouble duplicating. I have a couple pics. One is the body I'm working on and the other is a photograph of the real car. See the arrows that show what I am trying to do.
  12. I would have lots of product developement done. For instance I would invest in new tooling for subjects that modelers been crying for. Focus would be less on reissues and more on subjects we have not seen in years. Also, would do more manufacturing in the US.
  13. I saw this paint at Advance Auto the other day. It's on the same shelf as the rest of VHT's engine enamels. Looking to find from someone who has used this paint.
  14. Thinking about this; just imagine the giant garbage dumps that grew into big multi acre hills after 40 or so years and being able excavate them. I bet you find alot of model cars there that were thrown away , ending up in the landfills.
  15. I wouldn't mind getting two or three 70' or 71' mavericks. If produced as a 3 in 1 ; stock, custom and drag more people would be inclined to buy.
  16. Why don't you get a resin 69' Coronet from one of the resin companies? Then get the Revell/Monogram 68' or 69' Charger R/T kit for all the chassis and front end components. Far superior than the Round 2 chassis parts that are in the Dukes and Roadrunner kits. Nice thing about the front end parts from the Revell/Monogram kit is that front wheels steer. The Revell parts will get you much better detail parts.

  18. Saw the e-bay ad. Nothing in the title says pro built. Just a model built with no detail. If he gets his price more power to him.
  19. Amazing technology. This definetly would revolutionize the resin casting industry.
  20. Here is an interesting what if; someone mentioned a Dodge Coronet in one of the previous replies. What if the Dukes of Hazard show used a 68' or 69' Dodge Coronet instead of the Charger? Would MPC have resurrected the 68'/69' Coronet kit for the run of the show? Definetly makes for an interesting possibility that could have happened.
