I have casted parts and bodies. For resin I used Vagabonds 2 part resin. For the rubber I used the silicone rubber from GI Silicones. The $30 and $40 kits don't give enough to do bodies unless it's a Matchbox car size. To do a 1/25 scale body you need at least 32 ounces of rubber. As suggested by another poster about getting the large quantities; 10lb, 20lb, etc of rubber. He is right on. with practice you can cast anything. But you'll be spending money to do it. I would like to suggest an 81' thru 87' Pontiac Grand Prix. The front and rear bumpers can be gotten off the Petty or Earnhart kits. The body just needs to be modified in the front fender areas.

RMR Resin will be producing a 77' Can AM. Same body style as the Grand AM. It's supposed to be released sometime in September. -
I am working on the 87' Buick Regal model. I have acouple of color questions for the rear axle housing, shocks, front and rear suspension. Should the sway bars be black or natural metal? Also, the front steering linkage; black or natural metal? What color for shocks and rear axle housing. Thank you. George

I forgot to add that I e-mailed RMR asking when the release would be and was told it would come out in a few months. -

That's excellant news. Three weeks ago I also posted this news with the web address link. I've been trying to master a 73 Pontiac Grand AM for a few years , body is pretty much done. -
There is really no transition from novice to intermediate or other different levels of modelling. What your doing in essence is adding things or trying new things. Maybe scratchbuilding more. Those are things that shows the different levels of modelling. It really has nothing to do with being novice, intermediate or advanced. Those are just subjective levels based on who you ask.

Kits We'll NEVER See Re-issued?
GMP440 replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Believe it or not the old MPC 68' Coronet was not modified into the 69. The model company does have the body. Some pieces are missing. Hopefully they will release that one someday. -
Are the Zingers kits out?

How do you like the service? How did you go about transferring your number from a major cell carrier to Tracfone?
