Was at the local Wally World and saw a new edition of diecast from Johnny Lightning. Anyone know what scale they are? Saw the 70' Torino and looked at the side of the box for a listing of the other diecast in the series and noticed the 70' Charger is listed. However, the there is nothing on the box that says what scale they are. Thanks.

Get Eagle One Products "Bare aluminum wheel cleaner with etching acid". That takes any kind of chrome off in 15 seconds. Advance or Pep Boys Auto stores sell it.

Notice in the pics with the sprue that has the hood on it, there is the Talledega nose there. It's top right.

How effective is it? Is it easy to use. I am having trouble masking sharp curves and maybe using Microsol Micromask will be easier to use since it can be brushed on.

Just was thinking more about this by using saran wrap or the real cheap tin foil for covering large areas where you don't want overspray. Will the tin foil leave any marks or residue?

I am working on the painting a 71 Cyclone race car. Would like to read about suggestions as far as what kind of paper to use for covering areas not to be painted. I have been using newspaper but is there anything else better that would work. Thank you.

This is the perfect opportuniity for the powers to be at Auto World to clean up the 68' Coronet body and put it in this kit. go The body and it's parts were found about a year ago when it was supposed to come out.

So basically, the Fast and Furious Charger is the ex-MPC 1969 Charger kit. I noticed that a few years ago when my friend , who worked at a hobby shop that I frequented showed me the contents of the box. Sure enough, a correct tunnel back window body, nascar parts and if I remember correctly a 69' grill. Too bad, AMT marketed that one as a 70' with an incorrect grill. Had they marked it as a 69' probably would have sold well.

I agree with Jantrix about the Duplicolor paints. They are great in humid weather. That's all I ever paint with. Advance, Pep Boys and other auto parts stores carry them.

I want to ask how I can make nascar type seat harness buckles? I appreciate any suggestions and ideas. Thanks. George

I use Plasticote engine enamel clear. Does not yellow white paint.

How long is the drying time? Does it flow pretty good to?

Michael's sells clear casting resin. Has anyone ever used it to cast model parts?

I know there are the Nascar version available but does anyone cast a stock 81'-87' Pontiac grand Prix?

I am working on a 71' Cyclone nascar and it will be red white and blue. White is the overall color with red and white sections. What kind of tape can I use for masking the different colors that will nice crisp lines? I found some Pactra trim tape at home, will that give me crisp lines? What about fine line tape for masking? Thanks.

Always primer the model car body prior to your topcoat. I like using laquer based primers such as Duplicolor or Plasticote when I'm using imron, centauri and other types of paint. If you just spray on bare plastic body there will always be a chance for adhesion problems with the topcoat.

Will the stock 70' Cyclone resin hood from Modelhaus fit the Model King 71' Cyclone? Also, who sells a stock dash for the 70'/71' Cyclone. Thanks. George

Duplicolor and Plasticote primers are the same. Down here in Florida, a lot of auto parts stores quit carrying Plasticote brand. You only find Duplicolor. I have used both brands for years and there is no difference between the two.

What would be the correct gold to use for the Hurst Hemi Under Glass.

The 68' Coronet R/T. We almost had it re-released back in June. However, it was cancelled. Dissappointed alot of modelers.

Apparently, the 68 Coronet was found. However, it was supposedly missing the glass and bumpers.
