  1. I just found this while looking for a kit to buy. Your build is beautiful. I love the car and I had the kit back in 1984 or so. It’s long gone now. I may bite the bullet and get one off eBay.
  2. That engine looks good. I have a friend who can print custom parts. I’ll look into it. For the show rod project, I found a different V-8 with mechanical fuel injection. It’s the Buick Nailhead in the new Revell 1930 Ford Model A coupe. The same type of engine in this build from 1967. It used parts from an Uncertain-T. That kit is too expensive for me to use for parts. My project will be a tribute build.
  3. Thanks. I was expecting entries more like the drawings in the November 1967 issue. Something like those drawings would be a cool project.
  4. I bought a 1967 issue with a cover blurb that mentioned moon crawlers. The article had a few drawings and it was an announcement for a contest to build a crawler. Entries needed to arrive by January 1968. Does anyone know what issue has the results? I would love to see that. Photo is the 1967 issue.
  5. Thank you, gentlemen. I ordered a Revell 1930 Ford Model A Coupe off eBay. I ordered an Accurate Miniatures McLaren also. Thankfully it will remain whole.
  6. Wow. I thought there would be more kits with good looking mechanical fuel injection. Looks like 3D print or cannibalize an Accurate Miniatures McLaren.
  7. I’m thinking of the McLaren M8B. Looking for that type of stacks. The Grand Sport Corvette is cool, but it has different induction.
  8. I would prefer styrene to 3D print. I don’t want to spend $40 to rob the engine out of the M8B kit. (but I placed a Wanted add for one) Are there any other kits with a good looking V-8 with mechanical fuel injection? It can have vertical stacks or splayed, unequal length. It’s for a future show rod build. Thanks
  9. Did a cat knock yours off the shelf? Did your dog chew the front end? But seriously, I would love to have the engine from a glue bomb, unfinished project, whatever. It’s for a future show rod project. edit: or whole kit Thanks. Lee
  10. Jordan Almonds
  11. I found a Regal Coach on eBay. It is out for delivery 👍🏻
  12. I gotta send you a link to a podcast about an intensifier. Can’t post it here.
  13. I heard that the P-3 Orion anti-submarine aircraft had an abnormally high bird strike rate. From behind.
  14. I really don’t know much about it. Info is pretty scarce. https://www.vettemod.com/threads/dohc-heads-on-a-bbc.6544/ https://www.hotrod.com/news/hot-rodders-pete-aardema-kevin-braun-create-scratch-built-12-cylinder-behemoth
  15. I wondered if it could be something by Pete Aardema, but I couldn’t find anything of his on a 426. He did lots of wild conversions, including a big block Chevy with Porsche 928 DOHC heads. He had to get a custom block to get the bolts holes to match the Porsche heads. I would guess the DOHC small block Chevy was his.
  16. I wish I had known that a few hours ago. No big loss. It’s still a cool car. I wanted the axle for my Dodge Fever build. It was recommended in the 1969 How-To article. I have an inbuilt ‘62 Catalina. Thanks for the info.
  17. The main thing I want is the rear axle. I’m trying to scratch build one but it’s not working out. The seats are cool for vintage drag cars. After taking out those parts, the Sedan Delivery would be a cool curbside street rod. Pro Touring sounds cool.
  18. I listen to a couple of podcasts about military subjects, but I only know of one about cars and it is low riders. Not my cup of tea (but I love the paint jobs). Are there any general interest model car podcasts?
  19. I ordered a Sedan Delivery off eBay a few minutes ago. Thanks, y’all.
