I would prefer styrene to 3D print. I don’t want to spend $40 to rob the engine out of the M8B kit. (but I placed a Wanted add for one) Are there any other kits with a good looking V-8 with mechanical fuel injection? It can have vertical stacks or splayed, unequal length. It’s for a future show rod build. Thanks

Did a cat knock yours off the shelf? Did your dog chew the front end? But seriously, I would love to have the engine from a glue bomb, unfinished project, whatever. It’s for a future show rod project. edit: or whole kit Thanks. Lee

I found a Regal Coach on eBay. It is out for delivery 👍🏻 -
I gotta send you a link to a podcast about an intensifier. Can’t post it here.

I heard that the P-3 Orion anti-submarine aircraft had an abnormally high bird strike rate. From behind.

1971 DOHC 426 HEMI CUDA (?)

I really don’t know much about it. Info is pretty scarce. https://www.vettemod.com/threads/dohc-heads-on-a-bbc.6544/ https://www.hotrod.com/news/hot-rodders-pete-aardema-kevin-braun-create-scratch-built-12-cylinder-behemoth -
1971 DOHC 426 HEMI CUDA (?)
LDO replied to TECHMAN's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wondered if it could be something by Pete Aardema, but I couldn’t find anything of his on a 426. He did lots of wild conversions, including a big block Chevy with Porsche 928 DOHC heads. He had to get a custom block to get the bolts holes to match the Porsche heads. I would guess the DOHC small block Chevy was his. -

Are all AMT 1933 Willys based on the same kit?
LDO replied to LDO's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I wish I had known that a few hours ago. No big loss. It’s still a cool car. I wanted the axle for my Dodge Fever build. It was recommended in the 1969 How-To article. I have an inbuilt ‘62 Catalina. Thanks for the info. -

The main thing I want is the rear axle. I’m trying to scratch build one but it’s not working out. The seats are cool for vintage drag cars. After taking out those parts, the Sedan Delivery would be a cool curbside street rod. Pro Touring sounds cool. -

I ordered a Sedan Delivery off eBay a few minutes ago. Thanks, y’all. -

My tribute to the Jim Keeler “Dodge Fever” 1968 Coronet

Tim- Thank you for the kind words. I read everything I could find online before starting this. I also found a Zoom interview with Jim on YouTube. The project was started before I had all six of the How-To articles. That accounts for a few of the differences. It’s also not easy to track down all of the same original parts. The story of your car was fascinating, also. It was a big part of the model car hobby and cool to see it restored. I’ll keep working on it. I want to see it through, so for the first time ever, I’m going to stick with one project only. My friend who printed a 1/8 scale model of a Potvin-blown Pontiac 421 with Mickey Thompson Hemi heads was disappointed to hear that it’s on the back burner. I think it will be up next. Thanks again, Lee -

That is so wild. Was there a how-to article? That looks like inspiration for a future tribute build. -
What is your favorite sports car?
LDO replied to WillyBilly's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don’t think I could pin down a favorite. There are so many that I would love to have. Right this minute I would say a street legal Porsche 935 K3 -

Just a little bit more progress. This geometry is a pain in the neck, for me anyway. I couldn’t find a rear axle from a Malco Gasser. The kit has been reissued, but it’s about $60. That’s pretty steep for one part. I’m going to try to scratchbuild one from Evergreen styrene and the inner axle from the Ramchargers dragster I got for parts. The back half of the monocoque needs some cleanup and that’s a piece of Evergreen 3/16” tube that will be part of the axle. I couldn’t find a seat from a Tony Nancy dragster, but Leica007 from this site helped me out with a seat that looks better, IMHO. -
Wow. That was a pretty cool thread. I have seen a few 3D printed Cammers, but none as dragster engines. I suppose it would be a straightforward conversion, but the headers might give me some trouble. The pic below looks like a great use for two Cammers. That would be a great car in real life or on a contest table.

When I read the thread title, I thought it said “Embossing”. No, wait. That can’t be right. “Embarrassing”. There we go… but what kind of tool is made for embarrassing someone?? Sometimes my mind is just off somewhere else.
