  1. not sure if this is exacly what you need: https://www.bobdrake.com/SearchForm.aspx?Search=spare+tire
  2. i think weighted tires are like poseable steering. in theory, they're both wonderful. in reality, they just don't pull it off. (you did axt!)
  3. detail master ignition wire is .016". bare #30 is .010", so with insulation it's certainly plausible.
  4. you really shouldn't use the word when trying to define the word.
  5. it's not a matter of change or technical acumen. i have used ebay as early as '96. it's principle. please drop it.
  6. see #9. i've only used retarder to spray, and it took a week not to feel sticky. now i just thin, and everything works fine.
  7. thanks, but i'm not an "end-run" guy. i like to go in the front door. this forum was used to advertise a product which is now being pushed off to a third party because the seller can't keep track of his customers. quote from the Fink announcement: "As there are many who had PM'ed me about them and it is hard to tell who is serious and who is not and if the total they tell me they want is real." well, i'm as real as it gets, and have supported this endeavor at every bump. to now offer them only through a third party 'really' pushes my unfair button. as far as i'm concerned, the engines can be stuck "back to Wolfsburg" one cylinder at a time.
  8. no; and no intention of getting one. i should say no more about this; quite annoyed but will continue to tell myself "it's only a hobby".
  9. well Larry ........................... i tried to buy now three engines with two separate credit cards zero balance each with no luck. very disappointing since i've waited patiently for months for these parts.

  11. to spray, i use a 2:1 paint/ proprietary thinner mix with happy results. i'm new to airbrushing so do as much as i can with it, then pick out small details x brush. two coats sprayed is the norm for me. touch ups of the same color x brush get the same thinned mix for conformity, but if i'm just painting details i'll usually use 1 coat full strength. never sprayed the metallics, but have heard then need to be thinned way down which i assume is a direct effect of the pigments' properties. there's a gazillion youtube videos about Vallejo Painting both military & wargammers have used them for eons.
  12. not fully understanding the difference, is it the crank out windshield which makes the distinction? i was always under the impression a cabriolet had window frames around the doors and those cute squiggly "S" irons on the convertible top. or is this a landau?
  13. now we're rivet counting it to death. pick a model; end of story. AMT '25 T double-kit/ trophy series. next!
  14. ulp! i'd be careful; test something unimportant.
  15. agree. thin with & clearcoat after with proprietary Flat/ Gloss/ Satin Varnish as needed.
  16. been through that, too. sorry to hear this. good luck and best wishes under the circumstances.
  17. http://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/review.php?rid=894 same thing; different presentation
  18. maybe do a tutorial so we can benefit from your experience? there's always a new trick-or 2- to learn.
  19. i had an email yesterday from Hobby Link indicating late june for my preorder.
