  1. i went into BoA saturday. sat down waiting for customer service. 10 minutes into it, a lady comes over and tells me it will be about an hour before i can see a representative. went into a mattress store today right at 10 am opening time. salesman told me yesterday it was 8:25 pm before the first customer came in.
  2. three books i've found helpful scratchbuilding : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0887404170/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764307959/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764340042/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. and yet, when a cop give someone a ticket, they invariably say "thank you, officer". go figure, huh?
  4. well, if you can spile a garboard plank, there shouldn't be any problems here.
  5. i think the major problem with "non-hobby" paints is pigment size. gotta pick your battles, but i figure companies pay chemists gazillions of dollars to develop products for specific uses. i certainly don't know more than them. if you spend 10, 100, 500, hours building something, would you chance a poor result on a $7.00 can of paint?

  7. that looks great. nice choice with the Partsbox wheels.
  8. woodies, aka, shooting brakes, were produced in the UK from the '20s through the '50s. and there's an Austin on the cover i think the paint is the way to go for this one. keep it light because the areas are small.
  9. sounds like it's working its way into his brain and he'll be off the edge before you know it.
  10. ha! i always figured it was from the mold process and sanded it flush.
  11. sure. that's why sometimes it's easier to buy another kit than to sit at the bench. all part of the process.
  12. reading between the lines, i get the impression you think the kit part looks too contemporary. i agree. at the risk of being prototypically incorrect, you might want to try the spare wheel from the AMT '36 Ford. at least there's some detail rather than the vast billboard of space on the '32 kit part.
