interesting comments regarding Revell's SD "rat roaster" elsewhere made me think: has anyone considered offering vacuumformed panels thin enough that the louvers could be opened up? i imagine they would need to be made a little overscale to compensate for paint build up, but would this be possible for hood sides and trunk lids? would just strips 'o' louvers (like the solid styrene once kit offered) be a viable alternative, with the builder responsible for cutting out the panel for flow through?

..... Finishing anything in a reasonable time is a departure for me, as I usually get bogged down in esoteric details that take forever .....

maybe the website on the instruction sheet would have alternate language instructions. forever companies have published the directions in English, French, German, & Spanish. try: Google Translate sometimes it works, and sometimes the results are nothing short of comical.

i continue to be amazed how the PE manufacturers expect modelers to envision how their parts go together. some come with sketchy instructions, and some of the military stuff i've used does have good information, but i really think they're doing themselves a dis-service by not including complete "how - to" instructions. what's the worst that could happen; they sell more products?

and it's available almost everywhere. with my lhs 25 miles away, it makes a difference on sunday afternoon if i run out.

i got mine today. at first glance it looks like a bunch of great stuff. every issue is technically fine, but this issue's subject matter holds much interest to me. heck, i remember Car Modeler in the early sixties on pulp paper with tiny, barely legible, black & white photos. there was a great debate whether or not there would ever be color photos inside of a model magazine. i think it was R&C Models that had a centerspread in color. the rest is history. last issue was good, too. let's be appreciative of what we have.
