  1. Congratulations! Enjoy your baby girl, they grow up fast. I remember my daughter's first day like it was yesterday. Treasure every moment.
  2. I know this is a little impatient, but does anyone know if or when the Cutlass and Turbine are going to be released? I just want to build them both without spending a small fortune to buy original one's.
  3. Nice score. I really like that kit and I don't normally build NASCAR's.
  4. I went to a local discount, surplus junk store where I buy most of my spray paint. I picked up all of this for less than a dollar a can with tax. There is a nice seventies brown that will look great one of my AMC Gremlins. And best of all was finding this poster frame for my Phillips 66 oil can poster for fifteen dollars. I am going to hang it in our bedroom at least until my wife gets tired of seeing it. Then it will be in my model room.
  5. I do have about twenty different 1/18 police cars. Everything from Crown Victoria's to Chevrolet Caprice's to SSP Mustang's. This. Is my favorite diecast. It's made by GMP, and they made six different state police departments. I have this one and the California Highway Patrol version. Sorry again for the cell phone pictures. This is a group picture of some of my police cars.
  6. I don't have too many 1/24 diecast. But here are the three that I like the most. Please forgive the cell phone pictures.
  7. I have never really had any distractions when building. Its more difficult to get enough time to build. I've lost count of all the half finished kit's that I have. I need a full weekend to finish the final steps (foiling, final assembly, etc) of about ten different kits.
  8. Nick, Crown Premiums, I have never seen one before. Of course I was never looking for one either. It was ten bucks and I got it and a 1960 Ford Starliner for fifteen dollars total. Not too bad of a deal.
  9. I went to an antique auto swap meet Friday evening to get rid of some older car stuff / junk. By noon today, I had sold all of the parts I brought, and bought everything in the pictures. The three Johan Oldsmobile 442's called out to me. I had to get them. My garage is cleaner, and I got some more kits that I wanted. I also bought some wet sand paper in 800 and 1200 grit's, four Unical 76 decals for my toolbox for 11.00. The two Dusenbergs were the deal of the day for six bucks total. The weekend was good so far.
  10. I will buy any collection of kits at end of the world prices, 2.00 a kit until June 2012, then 1.00 until November, and finally even trade for one .22 caliber bullet until December. Pm's or email.
  11. Model. I think it's a diecast.
  12. Nice looking Crown Vic, I used to own a 00 CVPI. By now its probably been used as a demo derby car. I sold it over five years ago. The Vic seat in the Chevelle is a nice touch. Good builds.
  13. I look them over before starting, and mostly follow them throughout the build. The only exceptions are older, simpler kits and ones that I can build just by looking at them.
  14. Somewhere between 50-400. I stopped counting.
  15. Over the last four weeks or so I have picked up these kit's. The only older kit is the Johan Plymouth police car.
  16. I like the looks of the first car, not to mention it's RWD so that's a definite plus.
  17. I checked a few local Meijers tonight and found some clearance kits / left over's. I picked up seven kits for 7.49 each. I think i did ok, seven kit's that I don't have for the price of two regular priced kits.
  18. That looks good. I have three mopars that could use those rims. Are you interested in a trade for a few set's?
  19. Absolutely, both my daughter and son can look, touch, help paint or break my built models. My six year old girl plays with some of them when I am building. How else am I going to get my kids into building models when they get a little older? I used to play with my father's models when I was her age. That worked for attracting me into this hobby. I still remember playing with a 1960 Buick promo and a lot of Johan kits of his when I was growing up.
  20. I bought about seventy kits, sold zero and built 23. I have my pre painted winter stash of another 15 that I just started to finish.
  21. That is some real clean, sweet looking work. I like it a lot.
  22. My top five are: Copo Nova Styleline 62 Ford Hudson Hornet 62 Thunderbird Trumpeter Falcon
  23. Here is the latest reissue of the Comet. Its a curbside promo ish kit.
  24. I see what you did there.
