  1. I think this will be the one kit that forces me to pay the retail price. My lhs has four coming in, so I think I will have to get it.
  2. Just a guess that with that much time left, the deal won't be so good by the end.
  3. Very cool looking Falcon. I like the older kits for the simplicity also.
  4. I bought the October issue of MCM yesterday. On Friday I bought some more kit's from a collection. All are unbuilt and I got a good deal on the lot.
  5. Fordrodkustom, that is one sweet looking Ford. I would love to have the real thing. P
  6. That is crazy, my birth year (80) plus my age (31) equals 111.
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Do I need to primer first?
  8. I ran out of tinfoil, how many sheets of bare metal foil do I need to make a hat?
  9. Highway, nice looking group you have there. I hope that building your friends kit's give you some styrene therapy over the loss of your friend.
  10. So that's what 100,000 dollars looks like spread out on the floor.
  11. That is correct, MSP never had a fox body SSP with a 5.8. At best Ford could have let them test one for their annual police car trial's.
  12. That is great work. The Fairlane looks menacing in black. I can smell the burnout through the pictures.
  13. I picked up a few more kits this weekend.
  14. On a quick trip to Meijer's tonight I saw the seasonal model display. The cars are mostly the same as last year, Enzo, several 32 Ford's, the 66 Impala/Caprice, lots of Monogram reissues and the Nova. Basically the same stock as a Hobby Lobby. The big deal is the price's went up from 10.99 to 14.99 for the kits. With the price bump, the kits aren't as cheap as a 40% Hobby Lobby coupon.
  15. I don't spend more than I can afford. I haven't paid full price for a kit in several years thanks to coupons, deals at shows and just being a cheap sob. I also look for cheap paint at discount store's and auctions. With two young children, I have to be frugal with my hobby.
  16. What is "curd soap"? I am guessing resin. That 63 Galaxie made that movie so much more entertaining for me.
  17. I would give a kidney for those two cars from the Getaway.
  18. I grew up watching Red Green. I am going to start watching the show again.
  19. That's too bad. I have been watching for good deals for a while now.
  20. I forgot another important one, the 55 Chrysler.
  21. I am excited for a lot of the kits; the IMC Johan rerelease's, the Oldsmobile, the Hudson NASCAR, the new 57 Ford, the AMC Gremlin, just to name a few. I just hope that they space the releases out so I can get them all.
  22. I have had the best luck at estate sales, second hand store's like Salvation Army or Goodwill, flea markets and garage sales. I avoid eBay, there is something about holding what you are buying that I like better. I am cheap because my wife and I have two young children that eat like horse's and grow like weeds. The best score I have seen was at an estate sale, half the basement was kits. Unfortunately I arrived after most were sold for a dollar a kit. I almost cried when I found out.
  23. I lusted after that 59 Dodge, I just couldn't justify the price.
  24. Well that is frickin sweet, I will have to buy about six of each of the Turbine and Cutlass. I can't wait for these to come out. I did just buy a flat box Turbine kit. This is going to be an expensive year for me with all of the new kits being re-released.
