  1. Cheers Zac. The rear guards were made from toothpick containers and styrene sheet Sean, hopefully these pics show how the frame was extended/stretched.
  2. Thanks for all the replies and comments fella's much appreciated. Black, my favourite colour. I used some 1.0mm styrene sheet that was cut into strips to match the frame,il take some pics to show how the method I used.
  3. Nice build Phil,as others have said adding some extra detail work helps bring these kits to life. And good job on the decals too. Look foward to seeing your next RM chopper
  4. Thanks for the comments fella's.
  5. Work in progress continued. Extended lower edges of the cab, sleeper and front guards. Made fuel tanks, rear guards. Filled in various mounting holes and started to smooth the hood/bonnet,cab and sleeper. Anyways thats where im up to at the moment, will have a progress update soon.
  6. Not really into trucks/big rigs all that much, but I have become a fan of the customised show rigs you guys have in the U.S. So after getting some inspiration from the net, dvd's a mate lent me and a French model truck builder. I decided to venture into a subject I have not built before. Started with a cheap easy kit, to get an idea of what its like to build a truck. If this build turns ok il get a better kit and build another. So after some guidance from my mate, the progress began. Out of the box mock up to get an idea of what and where to modify to get the look im after. (apologize for the poor quality of the first few pics) After some modifications to frame, front and rear suspension it was lowered and stretched.
  7. Awesome! The chassis is very impressive and all the other detail work make this build stand out for sure
  8. Ok il chime in. Another Australian from Port Pirie (aka Lead City) South Australia. Some Aussie cars I have built. Holden FJ Holden FC Holden HK ute (this was built to represent a Summernats burn-out car) Holden HQ Monaro And finally in Australia we love our ute's,so I converted an Impala to a ute.
  9. Wow ! after seeing the parts as you were building this, the end result was not what I expected. You have some great imagineering skills and this build is very unique and super cool. Top job, more pics please
  10. Excellent craftmanship, look foward to seeing the end result. What adhesive did you use to attach the wire ??.

    '67 Impala

Nice one mate, well detailed and cleanly built.
  12. As already said super clean and excellent detail work. 68's are my favorite year of Impala's,wish one of the kit manufacturers would release a new freshly tooled kit.
  13. Thanks Zac, A couple more pics in full sun-light.
  14. Some more pics. When I get a chance il get some full sun-light pics to show the pearl in the paint..
  15. Cheers for the comments. Yeah their good fun kits to build, but their is a couple things that can be done different from the way the instruction show how to do assembly in order to eliminate seams on the frame.
  16. Just a quick fun build, few minor changes and added detail. But basically its oob.
  17. As usual great imageneering and modification work.
  18. Very nice mate, one tuff XR for sure.Impressive times too.
  19. You know me mate, like that paint job.
  20. Dash conversion looking good so far. The body is really starting to take shape now. And I return the thanks for asking me to build the chassis, because at that time I was in a slump and had no motivation to build. But by doing that chassis for you it snapped me out of the slump. Cheers mate
  21. As you know,Im really looking foward to seeing this completed.
  22. As always excellent builds Ray.
  23. Like the way you opened and hinged it Martin. Nice paint work Joker.
