  1. Another sad passing from Night Court. After battling cancer for a couple years, Markie passed at the age of 70. I remember when the first bailiff women passed, the show believed that particular part was cursed. Marsha Warfield proved it not to be true. Now Markie passed less than a month from Robinsons passing. I watch the re runs of this show every morning.
  2. This build is a true work of art.
  3. I have a Johan 62 Dart that I started a while back, but it’s just been sitting. I hope to get back on it soon. Here is a Johan 63 Plymouth with the Lindberg 64 Dodge suspension. Not perfect, but just to demonstrate how you can greatly improve the Johans undercarriage.
  4. This is just plain bad looking!! Sits right on all corners. Looks like a Plymouth factory color too. Nice model.
  5. Fantastic job on your build. It’s not you. I’ve built a few of these non (A/FX), and it can be a bit of a pain getting the two front frame parts in the square holes. Very nice job.
  6. I got the Forward Resin set, and it’s a very nicely done casting. Just not what I’m looking for. Will definitely use it on a future build. I found this engine on BNL Resins site. This is exactly what I was looking for. It seems no one but BNL really makes this type of intake, AND valve cover. Seems everyone casts a hemi cover, but not so much for a max effort non hemi BB.
  7. I ordered a kit a month ago, and it still has no tracking activity for the last 15 days. This is after it wound up being “missent” I understand this is a USPS issue, and not an eBay issue. This has happened several times before, but I’m to the point where I don’t want to order anything from the mail anymore.
  8. I sold this build a while back, but I did another one more recently. I bought decals from WhoopieKat, and he sent me two sets. If you are looking for the Al Means Phil Bonner set, I have one still left.Send me a PM with your info, and they are yours. Pics of the more recent build.
  9. Thanks Steve, and Frank. I ordered that set from Forward. Not very tall looking. After cleaning up between the runners, and adding a spacer between the intake flanges and heads, it should sit a bit higher.
  10. Does anyone know of a caster that might have this type of BB Mopar intake available? Been searching everywhere to no avail.
  11. Very nice build Jason. The interior looks fantastic. Attention to the details paid off.
  12. eBay is a big joke anymore. With idiots trying to get 4-5 times what kits are worth, and then you factor in what ebay is now pulling with the sellers, I have their app deleted off my device. I’ve also noticed there seems to be a lot less traffic on eBay as compared to the past. I think they definitely lost customers recently.
  13. Not boring at all, in my opinion. These are some of my favorite types of cars to build, and see being built. Fantastic job on this one, John. Everything looks correct, from the undercarriage, to the tires and paint. I understand that many builders don’t like to build more than one model after they build it. If there are decals available for five cars, I say build them up. Your 62 is a perfect representation of those old, cool, super stockers of yesteryear. I have another resin 62 in my stash, that I still am undecided on how to build it. Choices, choices.
  14. I had a post somewhere on here a while back, where I bought two sheets of the New Improved Chrome, and when it arrived, it was so wrinkled I couldn’t use it. I returned it for a full refund. Someone suggested I buy from BMF directly, and I got regular chrome instead. I’m thinking I should have just kept the wrinkled sheets already.
  15. I bought two sheets a month or two ago, and in simple terms, they suck. It seems like the foil is a bit thicker, and when you peel it off the backing, it gets a wrinkled texture, that doesn’t smooth out after applied. Leaves the model looking like the trim was severely scratched up around the windows. If I can’t get the “improved chrome” anymore, I’ll just hang it up until it’s available again. This Impala has the foil mentioned. If you zoom in, you can see the texture on the trim above the front driver side wheel well. It looks terrible. I don’t like it at all.
  16. After all these years, I’m still crazy over Dixie!!
  17. If it’s not one of your better efforts, sure fooled me. This is one fine model build. Super clean details. Looks VERY realistic.
  18. Here is a link to a members build that might help you in your modifying the wrecker bed. Excellent build with good info here for anyone wanting to make the wrecker look correct. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/103348-amt-peterbilt-359-california-hauler-wrecker/
  19. Looking fantastic so far. The engine detail is perfect. The improvements on the interior really work well. These Moebius shifter handles look like they would be larger than a softball in scale. The Tamiya Bright Red you plan on using always seems more like an “orange” shade to me. Maybe it might look more red with a darker primer under it?
  20. The My Pillow Guy commercial is the worst. I won’t mute it, I’ll just flip the channel until its over with. I can’t stomach that commercial, or that guy.
  21. Thanks Keith. Just a regular old “fine” point Sharpie? I usually use a black Sharpie on my Thunderbolts inner side trim, but it’s the huge chisel type Sharpie. Then I just foil around it. Sometimes the Sharpie never covers well, leaving streaks. I dunno, maybe I need to buy some new Sharpies? I like the way yours came out. Definitely gonna give this method a try. A real time saver, I’m sure. BTW, Keith, do you plan on building any more Thunderbolts?
  22. One question... how did you do all of the chrome trim in the car?
  23. Stellar looking TBolt. The deepening of the panel lines paid off handsomely. One of the nicest build of a TBolt.
