  1. Got another one of my started projects finished that was sitting on the bench. Just added a more realistic differential from the Revell 68 Hemi Dart. (good kit to rob rears from as there are two in it), and decals from Bruce at SMP decals. I would have liked to use some more realistic rear rims from Fireball, but I couldn’t seem to find them... guess it’s time to order a few more sets.
  2. Thanks everyone. All of your replies are much appreciated.
  3. The carbs are just some resin pieces I had lying around, and they are brush painted with Testors Jet Exhaust enamel.
  4. Thanks for the positive replies everyone. I just have a question, maybe someone can point out to me? This Revell kit is said to have some body proportions that are not correct. Anyone want to chime in? I’ve compared it to some pics, and it appears to be ok, as far as I can tell anyway.
  5. Another car that waited to be assembled for too long.
  6. That’s one beautiful Galaxie. This is one of my favorite Ford big cars. I can’t wait to get mine finished up.
  7. And the other one.
  8. I’ve been away from the bench and forum for a while. Been really busy with home improvements. Got some time to get four cars off the bench. Two of them are these S/S Mustangs. I filled the holes on the sides of the engine blocks, and did away with the metal axles, replacing them with styrene rod. Filled the rear exhaust cutouts on the rear body pan. These cars were sitting here painted for a while so I decided to get them finished.
  9. I saw Helen Reddy Live In Japan
  10. Had to possibly be a leg of The Monsters Of Rock tour with Van Halen, Metallica, and Dokken? I saw the two of these together at the MOR. Kingdom Come... what a Zeppelin rip off.
  11. I built an A12 a while back. When you add some after market items to it, you can build a really nice model. I might buy another one and build it box stock.
  12. I haven’t been at the bench in quite a while. Been doing a bunch of things to the house. Hopefully I’ll get time to get back on this build, and the other ten I have going on.
  13. Funny thing.. this episode was on last night on one of our local channels.

  15. Wow. Seems like all of my rock heroes are passing away. He did have problems before with cancer of the mouth in the past. Very sad news.
  16. While I do agree, it all depends on the builders interests. I really enjoy building super stock cars of the 60s most, and there are many different sponsors, and drivers, that raced those TBolts, and Belvederes. I have built many TBolts, as available decals allowed me to, and I still have several cars on the bench waiting to be completed, that I have built before. But on the other hand, once I build a factory “stock” car, I see no reason on building another one.
  17. Wow, Steve, what can I say?? This build is absolutely breathtaking. Perfect in every way...I’ll definitely be following your Mopar build coming up.
  18. It’s not only modelhaus items that this seller has for ridiculous money. Look at his other items. For every two items he has up for auction, he plans on clearing a cool grand. But I suppose if you can get a uninformed buyer on the hook, he’ll make his money.
  19. If I remember correctly, the Revell 68 Mustang has one very similar for the SCJ engine.
  20. Yea, that seller is high. Every thing that he/she sells is ridiculously over priced. I often wondered why that kit was never produced.
  21. I just love your builds!! I especially like the color, the modern engine, and the fantastic detail work on the front grill. That kits grill isn’t the nicest as it comes, and you made it look very real. Very nice model.
  22. I’ve never used CA glue for any PE parts, as of yet. I’ve found that the Tamiya acrylic clear, in the little jars, works perfectly for me whenever I’m working with PE parts.
  23. That’s quite an investment there. I like it.
  24. Superb work! Hard to tell this interior is a much smaller scale than the real thing, with all the amazing detail. You really do have to look twice.
