  1. Wooly Swamp was my favorite song.
  2. Mostly hard rock and heavy metal for me, \\m//, but I enjoy all kinds of great music. Even though I’m not a country fan, some of those performers can put on a heck of a show.
  3. Lost another legend. No info on how he passed away, but he was 83. I’m always looking to see if COVID 19 is to blame for the celebrity deaths. In his case, no info is given as of yet.
  4. My holy grail. I’ve been looking for a Johan 63 Dodge for some time now. I lost out on two kits in the past. But this time around I was lucky enough to score this little gem. Most likely will be built into a max wedge stocker.
  5. Couldn’t you just drill two holes into the A frame below the oil pan, and add some styrene rod? That way you can mock it up, and have the engine cradle between the two rods.
  6. I’m sure everyone has been to a pizza shop, or fast food restaurant where they have those Coca-Cola touch screen machines. Well, those machines are very, very expensive. I don’t remember the dollar amount, but it’s pretty astronomical. They must be installed at night when no one is around, because of their complexity, and if I remember correctly, optic cables are used. Then after they are all set up, the Coca-Cola company gets direct information from the choices consumers make of their drink choices, and use that info from every place those machines are being used. Then they decide on which new flavor to introduce to the public, like Vanilla Orange, or Vanilla Cherry Zero, etc. Talk about high tech marketing. I wasn’t one of the guys that installed them, as I drove tractor trailer for them, and I do consumer Coke when I have to choose a soft drink.
  7. As a former Coke employee, I would definitely go this route.
  8. I’d like to see some pics of your 68 Beaumont.
  9. That’s what I was thinking also. I always had to use a piece of styrene on one of the AMT roadrunner or GTX kits, only on one side of the rear bumper gap. These Chevelle lights look pretty good from the rear, but like you stated, the side view need a bit of attention.
  10. Carl Reiner passes away at 98. Very talented and funny man. Recently watched him and Mel Brooks on Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix show. Seemed pretty active up until his death.
  11. I just added my email address to two hobby places so I can order as soon as the can be ordered.
  12. That’s what I was looking at, that larger gap. Still a big improvement over what’s out there now.
  13. Wow... those tail lights look so much better than the old AMT issues. Not perfect but better. Can’t wait to buy a couple of these. One to build stock, and the other to build as a bracket car.
  14. So sorry I didn’t see this post for some reason. The color is Tamiya Maroon out of the can.
  15. Beautiful in every way. From the color to the engine detail. Super clean.
  16. I have to agree. The foiling looks perfect. No mistakes here that I could see.
  17. If I remember correctly, you could assemble and glue MOST of the cage before painting. Even the chrome plated parts could be stripped and glued, all depending if the builder chooses to keep the chrome or not. That makes it a heck of a lot easier than dealing with painted parts. The cement would pretty much “weld” the bare styrene. Like I said.. this is a challenging kit to build. Looks like yours will turn out just fine. Can’t wait to see it completed.
  18. Are you assembling the cage after it was painted?
  19. This is definitely a more difficult kit to build correctly, especially with the front end tubing. I’ve often wondered why the skill level is only 2? You are doing a fantastic job on this build. Mock up looks killer. Can’t wait to see the final reveal.
  20. Here is DupliColor Candy Apple Red. This is with gray primer underneath. You can get different results with white primer, or a gold or a silver base, as well.
  21. Pro Tech model parts has breathers with the open element.
  22. I sure wish someone casted these hub caps in resin.
  23. One of my favorite Fords. Fantastic paint. Very original looking sleeper.
  24. I agree. Actually I can’t imagine a better wheel for this build. Excellent 56.
  25. Simply gorgeous. Nice in every way.
