  1. Brett, It looks great mocked-up! What color will this be painted?
  2. Brett, That's amazing for 4 days of work. It looks like it'll be done in no time. Keep the updates coming. Mike.
  3. This is a really nice start! I like the green color.
  4. Beautifully done! I really like the skulls as shifter knobs. Did you make the skull heads?
  5. Scott, this is a beautiful build!
  6. Everett, I understand, I'm in a similar set of circumstances myself. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing this build. Mike.
  7. Hi Everett, I'm looking forward to this build! Have you decided what color you will be using? BTW, MCW does have the correct Poppy Red. Mike.
  8. Here's something interesting I found! In 1972 the color, Medium Coral (60449) was offered for Pintos. This is actually the same color code, 60449, as 1965 Poppy Red. I'm still thinking Bright Red was used on Dyno Don's P/S Pinto but Medium Coral is a factory 1972 color. In some pictures Don's Pro Stock Pinto appears as an orange-red. Maybe Medium Coral was used???
  9. Walt, I did a search for pictures of Dyno Don's Comet and I agree his 65 looked like a competition orange. Even Poppy Red looks a bit too orange to me but that's what Dave at MCW suggested. It's starting to look like Bright Red is the color. Mike.
  10. I contacted Model Car World. Dave at MCW suggested it might be Ford Poppy Red, the same color as Dyno Don's '65 - '67 Comets. http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1965-ford-pg01.jpg
  11. Hi Bill, Thanks for finding this for me and the information that most Pro Stock racers used a factory color. Mike.
  12. Thanks Roger for the information! One of these days I have to pick up the May '72 Hot Rod issue. The car looks red to me in most pictures. However I've seen a couple of models built that are painted orange. I guess in some pictures it appears orange and it does appear orange on the MPC Dyno Don kit box. Mike.
  13. That's a great picture!
  14. Matthew, Thanks for posting those pictures. However it does say 'Motor City Resin Casters' on the box, maybe they both shared the molds. As soon as I can get some funds together I'd really like to pick up one of the SMBC Pro Stock Pinto kits. Does anyone have any pictures of the SMBC Pro Stock Pinto kit? The pictures on the SMBC site are small. Mike.
  15. Thanks guys! However I'm curious if anyone knows the exact color that was used. Mike.
  16. Does anyone know what color red was used on Dyno Don's Pro Stock Pinto?
  17. I have a few small parts from Chris, including a set of Pro Stock slicks and front tires, but don't have any of the car kits. Does anyone have any pictures of one of the car kits?
  18. How are the SMBC(Scale Modeling By Chris) kits? Are they nicely cast?
  19. WOW those look great! Roger, Thanks for posting those. Mike.
  20. Roger, Real nice work so far on the Demon! I can't wait to see it finished. What chassis did you use? Is that the one that came with the kit from Comp Resins? Mike.
  21. Do you have a picture showing the window glued in?
  22. Would the MPC Firefighter kit's windshields fit a Pinto?
  23. Has anyone built the Comp Resins' Pinto Pro Stock kit? I'm curious what chassis to use?
  24. Ken, Your Fiat is beautiful! Did you scratch build the chassis? Mike.
  25. I was looking at the Comp Resins' Pinto Pro Stock kit. Does anyone know what windows will fit this kit?
