  1. WOW Roger, It looks just like the real car! Very well done.
  2. Davin, This looks great so far. The suspension and chassis are nice and detailed.
  3. Davin, The paint and decals look great! What are you going to use to clear coat over the decals?
  4. I agree, the cage would have looked strange if you had angled it up in the front to match the roof. It looks much better the way you did it.
  5. Wayne, The 70.5 Camaro body looks great! I'd like one of those.
  6. Dave, This build is coming along real nice. The stance looks great! These pro sportsman chassis' seem to make it under more bodies then the actual 55/57 Chevy bodies they come with. I'm assuming this is a chassis from the Revell 55/57 Pro Sportsman kit?!
  7. I've used Microscale liquid decal film on decals but not with a lacquer top coat. I assume once the clear lacquer is cured it won't be able to affect the decals.
  8. Do you think If acrylic is applied over the decals(before application) will that help protect them from a synthetic lacquer clear coating?
  9. When using a synthetic lacquer paint on a car body with decals applied, can a clear synthetic lacquer be applied over the decals to seal them? What about clear synthetic lacquer applied over ALPS printed decals?
  10. Hey Davin, That's great news! I'm looking forward to seeing more progress pictures.
  11. I've been following your build thread! Beautiful job.
  12. WOW, Greg, Beautiful Charger!!!!
  13. Oh, you built those! Nice work. Thanks for the info and PM sent.
  14. Mike, Did you use Hugger Orange on a General Lee yet? For some reason I'm thinking Hugger Orange might look too Orange.
  15. That's funny, I just e-mailed Round 2 last night asking what color was used on the 1/25 General Lee that's shown on the site. BTW, is Hugger Orange a metallic paint? I'm still on the fence using Hemi Orange since it's metallic.
  16. Danno, I don't know how accurate I'll be building it. I just want it to look nicer then my old MPC kit.
  17. I was looking at the Testors spray lacquers. Testors Model Master Hemi Orange is a metallic paint but the color(in pictures) looks good. Testors Competition Orange is enamel. Though I'd rather use lacquer. Maybe I'll just go with the Testors Hemi Orange. I'm just not sure how noticeable the metallic is?!
  18. Thanks Jim for the info! I think I should have asked about a hobby paint/color to use. Does anyone have suggestions?
  19. I've seen a few different orange colors used for General Lee builds. What's considered to be the closest color/paint to use?
  20. Thanks guys for the information and pictures. I'm planning a Revell General Lee build soon. Yes I know everyone has built this before but I only built the MPC kit years ago and now want a more accurate General Lee. I want to build it as if it came orange from the factory. Bill, I just looked at the pictures of your '69 Charger Daytona in your attached album. You did a beautiful job on the door jams.
  21. I know the engine compartment and front chassis is the same as the body color on a '69 Dodge Charger. Is the rest of the chassis usually the body color as well? I've also read that the bottom of the floor pan is gray primer with body color over spray on the sides. Did the bottom of the floor pan usually have undercoating or was that a dealer option?
  22. WOW Davin this build is awesome! Excellent attention to the details. What clear coat are you going to use after applying the decals? Is it lacquer? Mike.
