My first model met an uncertain fate with trying to make it remote control. It was a Wright Flyer by Revell and I tried to put little motors on it to make the propellers spin. I managed to do that but when it came to get the rudders to turn, the first time it worked, when I went to test fly it, the steering and elevator abilities shorted out and it crashed in the pond. I went in after it only to find it in a million pieces at the bottom.
Sure, why not?
EDIT: I see above now, my reason is the same as his. If you got the main body, many cars share the same common chassis, so if you find a good donor car with the same basic chassis, you'r good to go.
I remember a dream I had one night that I went into my LHS and he told me I could have whatever I wanted free! I was just about to walk out the door with 3 buggies full of kits and them my mom came and woke me up....
i recently acquired a TMR resin 70 Charger that had the gas cap molded in. The gas cap has a small gouge in the outer rim of it. Would it be better for me to drill out the gas cap and put a backing on the bottom of the hole for a new cap?
