Thank You! And I am aware of the Missing Link caps, and while I love Mopars, I am not one of the rivet-counter Mopar guys, so the Plymouth caps don't really matter to me. EDIT: After a quick Bing search, it turns out that there are only minor variances in the design of the hubcap. But like I mentioned before, the build just isn't about a set of hubcaps now is it?

I had to paint some parts for my Camaro, so I figured I'd go on ahead and clean up the Daytona body and prime it. On my last Daytona build, I mounted the nose cone after I got the body put on the chassis, but I've seen other builds where the builder mounted the nose to the body and painted it as one piece. I decided to go this route with this build. Also, there's a spot or two where a piece of debris got into the primer, but that's nothing some sandpaper won't fix. Enjoy!

Hey guys! Brandon here with a new project! This time it is Revell's 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, and I will be doing it as a "what-If", what I would have ordered in 1969 new from the dealer. This is pretty much what I'm going for, with the exception that mine will have steel wheels from the Lindberg '64 Dodge 340 kit. This car is gonna be a 426 Hemi/Torquefite 727 car, with the Revell '68 Dodge Dart donating the 727 transmission, automatic pedals, and majority of the Hemi parts, and I've got the exhaust headers, and carburetors from the Revell '67 Dodge Charger on the way for the Hemi. The transmission is not seen in the picture, but I've also got one on the way from fellow member, tubbs. The paint is gonna be Testors One-Coat Lacquer Fiery Orange, which is the closest match to the 1:1 car's T5 Fire Bronze that I could find. That's all for now, and progress is gonna be slow until my Revell '69 Baldwin-Motion Camaro is completed (just a little bit more work!) and all of my components arrive for the Hemi. Enjoy!

Dan, I used Testors Gloss Custom Red Metal Flake #1629 on the Charger. I really liked the TMR body, it's really clean and the trim lines are nice and crisp, but on the downside, the resin gets a little thick near the bottom of the doors, and either the master body had a chipped gas cap, or it was just my copy, but nonetheless, my copy had a chipped gas cap. Other than that, it's a really nice casting.

Very nice '70 Charger. This is the first time I've seen one with a Revell chassis underneath though.

Great progress so far Mike!

Hello guys! I just got this one out of storage and finished her up today. It is a 1970, yes, you heard right, a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. I used the conversion kit from Time Machine Resins and I grabbed the far superior chassis and drivetrain from an extra AMT '69 GTX I had laying around. The car is riding on a set of the Keesly-Hayes "Recall" Mags from on of the Cuda's that either AMT or MPC put out, and the air cleaner came from the Model Car Garage. The bumpers are chromed using Alclad II, and for my first attempt I'd say them came out good! They are far shinier than the pics show. The Revell '68 Charger kit donated the heater hoses, brake-booster/master cylinder, headers, wiper motor, and the windshield washer fluid bottle. The dash, steering wheel, center console, and shifter were borrowed from an old General Lee kit I had. Anywho, on to the pics! Enjoy!

Hey guys, Brandon here, back from a very long break (teenage years bring around a lot of new challenges) with a completed build, a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T with the 440 Magnum/727 Torqueflite engine/transmission combo. The car was built from the recent AMT '71 Charger kit, and is painted Model-Master Sublime Green with a black interior. Being how this is my first car build in say, 2 years, I didn't bother with any foil work or wiring the engine, however, I did flock the interior and tried to bring out molded-in details as best as I could with paint. Enjoy the pictures!

Hello all, here is my 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. I originally was planning to paint it red, but it later got changed to purple. I wanted to capture the look of a slightly (very slightly) modified sleeper that a teenager might have, which explains the reason for the blue fuel line. I added the heat stains to the exhaust with Tamyia Clear Orange. The fuel line is just some blue Radioshack wrapping wire with a modified photoetch hood pin for the metal gas tank plate. Anywho, onto pictures! Enjoy! Brandon

Well, after about a six month slup, I finally dragged a kit out of the closet and finished it. I am assuming that you may want to know what happened so here it is. In May, I took a nice little vacation to New Hampshire. I had a good time up there, just couldn't master the concept of fishing in a rock bottom river. Anywho, we got home from there, and I started on a '68 Charger. About half way thru it, I got aggrivated and thrown it in the closet. I then switched my interests to Star Trek models. It just so happened that Saturday, I was going thru my closet and I ran across that model. I stopped and started looking at it and soon found myself out side with a can of primer and plum crazy paint. And today I sit here writing this with a beautiful model to display to everybody. Brandon

AMT M&H Racemaster Dragster Slicks & Parts Pack Tires
Mr. Moparman replied to Gregg's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I just got an email from Model Roundup saying that orders are now availible on AMT newest parts pack, two sets of Firestone Delux Champion Whitewalls. They are priced at $12.90 at Model Roundup. Here's what's on MR's Site: Firestone Deluxe Champion Tire Pack (1/25) (fs) The second serving of AMT's classic Tire-Pack reissues is here...the classic Firestone "Deluxe Champion" stock tire set. This venerable tire has been retooled a couple of times over the years, as it's used in so many kits. The earliest 1/25 replica of this tire became dubbed the "Trophy Series" tire, as it was generic without any sidewall lettering. Later retools saw Firestone lettering added and changes in the style and accuracy of the tread pattern. AMT's new incarnation of the tire has improved detail, featuring an accurate tread pattern, engraved Firestone lettering as well as the "F" crest and associated "Gum Dipped" lettering. Features 1 set of four Firestone Deluxe Champion Thin Whitewall tires 1 set of four Firestone Deluxe Champion Wide Whitewall tires Go AMT! -
Where Are Digital Cameras Headed?
Mr. Moparman replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use a nice pretty metallic blue Kodak Easyshare C1530. Shoots nice and good when I put my car against a nice white background! -
Air brush compressors: tank vs tankless
Mr. Moparman replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use the airbrush compressor from Harbor Freight with the moisture trap and regulator. The HF compressor has a pressure switch on it so it will only run when the pressure drops below a certain PSI. I may invest in a air tank of some sort later on down the road, but right now with me modeling in my bedroom and having to paint outside, it's not very practical. If I do add a tank later on, I will probably set it up like this: Credit to Don Wheeler for the picture. -
Very nice! Gotta love them old Mopars!

I've ordered from him once before, I was sastisfied with the service. His parts will take awhile to arrive since he machines him when he receives your order.

Sad to hear about the glass mrmike, but I bet the glass you'll make will be even better than the kit's glass.

Your favourite Box art
Mr. Moparman replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think there is a story behind this box art, somebody will probably post it. I think the boxes designer had sent the box art to the decal deptartment to have the decals made before he got the box approved by his boss, I can't remember the whole thing.
