On both of my work benches I have 18" florescent fixtures from walmart, $24.99 and they light it up very nicely. I would show a picture of my bench but I am at work 18 hrs from home.

Not Model related.... but I got the Plates for my 1:1 63 Nova 2door Hardtop today! ( no pics of car as it is still in storage, and pieces) Nova translates to "does not go" or "No go" ........ Its motivated by a 450hp 383 Stroker , soon to receive a Weiand 142 blower plate seemed fitting

any chance you can take a picture of the rust stuff that you got from Micheals? very good looking build so far, loving the weathering would really like to give it a try myself .

Got the front Grille surround decal in place. I don't know what Id do without Micro sol, that decal definatly would not have went down this smooth. All cleared and ready for final polish and assembly/
-
Got started on the interior/ various black parts. A buddy used to have a cool shifter on his Mustang GT.... so I used a custom etched piece to replicate it

Great Success! More updates later on!

Bumper and Spoiler separated, Both are in Primer now and waiting for paint.
-
Well, a couple of complications have reared their ugly head...... 2 Areas of difficulty have been the Rear diffuser and front "chin spoiler" Both were masked with Tamiya yellow tape, which I never have bleed issues with. Both areas are a bit harder to mask because of the contours. The rear is fixable, I can just mask sand and respray the actual bumper and it will clean up good. The front however I am taking a different approach. I have a half case of these kits, as I want to use a few of them for donors etc. I will be removing the chin spoiler from the messed up bumper and repainting it, I will then use a good undamaged chin spoiler from a donor kit, and paint it separately and attatch it to the good bumper. It should have been done in 2 pieces from Revell in *My Opinion, such as the 2010 Camaro SS fascia assembly was.

Sorry about the horrible lighting, the florescent light above my bench burnt out. I got the rest of the Hood and side stripes done. The small fender top stripe was the hardest, but eventually layed down nice with some decal softner/set. The Decals look a bit off, however they line up perfectly with the front bumper attached to push it up a bit. Bumpers have been painted and a first shot of clear. I still need to add the stripe to the upper grille surround. Also the front lip and rear diffuser are all masked and ready for a shot of black.

Nope, I will not be there this year. I leave for work on the 7th and am not home until the 22nd.

Haha, I actually really like the new Mustangs. Ive got probly 25-30 kits from the first 05- 07/10 Shelby, 08 Bullit, '10 convertible, etc. Im Just using Testors one coat "Wet Look Clear" wetsanded and polished.

These ones that I use do not grip hard enough to leave indentations. I get them at a clearance store, they have a magnifying glass on a third arm in the middle, but I remove that and make it a paint stand I had actually thought of painting it Body color, but decided to go with matte black instead. Thanks for the comments everyone, So far I am really liking this kit!

Got the hood decaled up, and shot the first layer of clear. also Painted the Chassis. I used " Italian Olive" which looks fairly close.Im happy with it.
-
Just got a few of these in the mail today, couldn't wait had to start on one. I removed the few mold lines that there were, the body was really nice, not much work needed. I was going to go with "gotta have it green" but decided to just use Tamiya Lime Candy instead. I will be building it like the boxart using the decals. I will be lowering it a bit, and replacing the tires for sure.

Revell 2009 challenger supercharger
mademan replied to alwaysforever84's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
^ YES! I have put them on the SRT8 6.1l Hemi, as well as the LS3 Camaro engine. Very nice superchargers. I would post pics, but I am up at work 18 hrs from home. -
Cant wait to get mine! I bought an Aoshima Lambo Aventador, and cast the tire set, specifically for this project! Very nice Pirellis with nice tread, nice and meaty out back , and very nice sidewall detail.

haven't really done much lately, been too busy. However I did get the body in paint this week. Sorry for the low quality Camera Phone pics, and messy bench.
