  1. Just got home from work today, after 2 weeks.... few parcels waiting for me.
  2. got mine! VERY NICE!!!! Definatly needing to get another.
  3. Limited run was made, I believe they all sold. Don't think he is doing anymore snowflakes.... but I think he will be doing honeycombs in the spring.
  4. I don't remember off hand where the slicks came from mabey the 1/12 vette? And I believe the cragars came from the 57 chev. Yes, I still want to meet up, Im leaving for work tomorrow for 2 weeks ill message you when I get back.
  5. I got that set a long time back when I acquired my first old release kit, found a resin grump lump on ebay too. This build is a far ways off, but I plan to do it, a couple yenkos, and a motion..... eventually, when time allows.
  6. I buy ALLOT through GMScustoms on ebay.....new issue kits for under 20.00 and he does surplus sales and " 1 at a time " sales and "lucky dog" sales where he lists new kits for like 9.50 - 14.00 I just pre-ordered a few of the new Firestone ford truck kits through him and at the same time scored a revel 59 impala for 9.50, a rat roaster for 11.50 and a few other current kits for 14 including the 70 Cuda. I have a few trusted dealers that I buy everything through, so with prices like that I grab a bunch of kits at once and stock up. Heck he has been listing the new Foose 1/12 Camaro at 39.99 buy it now, when most others are charging 55-60.00
  7. Looks great. The tires come in the AMT Wagonrod, and 32 Phantom Vicky kits.
  8. since the thread was brought back , I was wondering if the Magnum coupe ever made it past the drawing stages? neat concept
  9. Great work! I really like the side skirts! they flow well.
  10. Excellent build so far! Im really diggin the interior colors!
  11. Great start. Ill be watching this build. Its actually on my list id like to build.... I was searching for keystone classics on google and a different picture of this car popped up..... I love keystones, lol
  12. I initially ordered 2.... and as soon as I opened it, I put in for 4 more. Ive got allot of ideas for this kit. Its just an all around great kit. Couple more small updates. Started to fit the interior together, and working on some details for the engine. Robbed a Revell `68 Charger of its headers. I started on the carbs, by hitting them with some dull coat, also painted the trans. still needs clean-up and some detailing, but it had to have the Big foot
  13. I know that when I bought my Camaro , I was very specific in what I wanted.. I did not want the sunroof and I did not want leather. Mine was a nothing car, but it was what I wanted, what I ordered and what I paid for. I took the car in for its first oil change @ 5200 Km (not miles) and while there, the dealership scratched the quarter panel, about 11 inches long. They tried to play it off like it was there when I brought the car in, and refused to cover the repair..... after a fight and reviewing the papers I signed when I dropped the car off, the service advisor had done the walk around and checked that the car was in perfect condition with no physical damage. I was angry.... my brand new car was scratched...... not totalled... but scratched nonetheless. Eventually an employee admitted to scraping past the car with a part, or tool and causing damage.... but "he didn't figure it was that bad" The dealership covered the cost to repaint the panel. Now I can see why this guy is upset.... first of all his car had no sunroof, so like me he problably likes the "roof dimple" which is not on the cars with the sunroof. Also the sunroof steals headroom, if he is 6ft + like myself...... its annoying having your head rub on the roof. Even if these small issues are not what he has a problem with, he bought a BRAND NEW CAR, and the dealership should replace it with a brand new car.... we aren't talking about a $20k nothing Honda, were talking about a 80K+ collectors car. If his was a `13.... a `12 will not suffice. That is not comparable to his car. Luckily for me living in Saskatchewan, our insurance offers FULL replacement value for the first 2 years of ownership of a brand new car.
  14. Hmm... ill do some looking around and see if I can come up with something. I got a couple cases of these and plan to do a bunch of variants..... would really like to do a hideaway grille.
  15. Excellent work on the headers! One of my kits came with 2 shaker hoods..... pm me your address and ill send you one, and a set of flowmasters
  16. No major updates today, just playing the waiting game with some paint. Engine and interior pieces are all in paint and as soon as they dry I can start to detail. I hit the interior parts with flat black, and a bit of clear.... gives the vynil look and not too shiny. Also removed all of the mold seam lines around the seats and cleaned them all up.
  17. the Flowmaster mufflers were a 1 off project. A good friend drew them up for me and I printed 1 run of 18 mufflers total, enough to do 9 cars. Wish I could get more but they would have to be re-drawn. George, I ran into that problem, and added some styrene on the inside and blended it so that it isn't as obvious. Ill get a shot of primer on it and see how it looks.
  18. ^This. I do all of my buying online. I work weeks at a time, in a fly in camp with no access to the outer world aside from internet. So money order etc. is not an option for me. Sadly if a place doesn't accept payment online/creditcard/paypal...... I cannot deal with them. That has been the only thing holding me back from ordering through MCW.
  19. any chance you could post a photo of the contents?
  20. Tamiya basic white is about 6.00 a tube. Ive also tried the Squadron green putty that Ray suggested, it works well too. I just find Tamiya easier to work with,
  21. The Camaro is a Revell 2010 Camaro SS, mated with a Promo 2011 Convertible, to make a full detail convertible. I used the promo before the AMT showroom kit was available. There is a topic on here somewhere for it.
  22. The rims were printed in 1 piece. These ones were dramwn by a member of the forums here, and printed at Shapeways . The tires on the back there are Hobby Designs 315/35/20s
  23. Replaced the stock mufflers with some nice 3D printed Flowmasters that I had made.
  24. Ive had the best luck with Tamiya basic white putty. Dries fairly quick and is very sandable and easy to work with.
  25. Assembled Engine for paint. There was a large gap between the heads and intake on both sides, so I tightened it up with some .75mm styrene. Also smoothed out all of the seam lines on the engine/trans. Sorry for the constant updates. I work away from home for long periods at a time, so I have limited time to build. Its worked out that I have quite a bit of time this week.
