  1. To each their own. Im a Muscle /Modern Muscle guy.... and I really dig the Rocket Bunny 86, and the 380sx..... but I also have the respect to not bash others choices........
  2. of all the hoods ive gotten from Rdsxfan2 on ebay.. (which is close to 100) I only had issues with 1 beinf slightly warped , and they took care of me for it. As soon as they arrive, I open the kit and test the hood, then they get hung on the peg board for future use.
  3. these 2 kits right here. the ive already got plans for almost my whole case of the Cudas, and the rocket bunny kit is incredible.
  4. Was like Christmas at my place today!!!!! Support the Casters on this site! Chief Joseph Fireball Modelworks drag radials, and wheels for my 1:1 replica builds. Resin Correct foxbody from Greg Wann, and a Tbird from a facebook friend, and some rdxsfan2 resin hoods.... also Hemi half covers for my 1:1 Magnum
  5. Mine have crossed the border and is supposed to be here tomorrow!!! Il open one up and post a box contents review.
  6. more info on that hood please. Build looks excellent!
  7. Ive got a bunch of them coming, tracking shows they should be here in a couple days.... so well see. GMScustoms on ebay always has stuff first.
  8. northstar swaps are quite common nowadays, you can get an actual kit to mount it. 3.8 s/c from the grand prix gtp is pretty common too.
  9. still a year long wait on the chevelle? I don't even remember when I put my name in...
  10. They tend to go for around 150-200 which is on par for most "collector kits" I got mine for considerably less than that but hey,.... I like the street freak look of it, and am a sucker for GM big body stuff.
  11. Heres the thing..... If you consider the 1/8th resin stuff "pricey" .... don't bother with 3d printing..... If a set of wheels in 1:25 is costing me around 20-35.00 ..... I don't even want to imagine what a set of 1/8 would cost. Ive got allot of 3d printed parts, flowmaster mufflers, pro-chargers, a number of wheel sets, and a few other detail items, and none of it was cheap in 1:25 scale.......
  12. same, I started on one.... and put it away. My 3 should be here next week.
  13. wait and see how the styrene is...... depending on the paint you use, the 80s one is probably the better choice. Lately ive had allot of trouble with Revell`s "New " plastic.
  14. I have the same problem! I work away for 2-3 weeks at a time, and live in a tiny 8x10 room where I cannot work on models.... not to mention that I put in anywhere from 190-200 hours in the 2 weeks im here. Its really hard to get motivated sometimes. I really wanted to build last week when I was home, but all of the longterm projects were just not going as planned and I needed a change up..... so I grabbed a kit that I would NEVER, Ever normally build, a Nascar kit. no expectations, no super details, just straight out of the box, built it over the week, and by the time it was done, I had the motivation to build something better.... then left for work for 2 weeks Winter is usually when I get more model stuff done anyways, all the 1:1s are put away, and just in the "Parts Gathering" stages anyways.... so I work on models.
  15. I just ordered some of these too. Ive already got a pile of the 295/50/15 and the quality is great!
  16. I sure hope so! I just ordered a bunch more of his tires, and challenger r/t stripes.
  17. Im in search of some Dodge "Envy" wheels...... I have them on my 1:1 Magnum and am building a replica..... is there a source for scale ones? Ive seen a couple challengers with 25th scale Envys.....but cannot seem to find them.
  18. to DESIGN and have printed a 1 off set of wheels? you must be completely out of touch with the cost of things. printing alone on a set of wheels is around $25 + so factor in design time......now having had 15 or so sets of wheels printed, as well as numerous other parts I am fairly familiar with the costs involved, versus hearsay.
  19. I know allot of guys who draw and have printed.... but its not cheap. I just had a really nice set of wheels made up and to have them drawn, and printed im into 4 scale 20" wheels for $100.00 ( and that's cheap..... most guys charge allot more for design time etc. )
  20. Its all good. I may have taken it the wrong way also. I do see what you are saying, lots of the hopper guys do minimal interior to accommodate the mechanisms for hopping etc. I build primarily lowriders/lowrods .... but basically a bit of everything lol
  21. I picked one of these up, Art does a great job casting them. very clean and crisp. I started with a Buick Grand National, and modified the 1/4 windows and am currently working on the wheel wells. Until Revell tools up a kit..... this wil do. Little more work, doesn't mean that us "lowrider guys" don't concentrate on other details.....
  22. $26.00 is good money? I see nothing wrong with this ad, the person who makes these phantom boxes has to do the artwork, etc...... I just traded an AMT VW scirocco kit (unbuilt) and an old built-up 73 Caprice..... a total of over $100.00 worth of kits, to an artist who made me a Phantom 63 Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe model kit boxtop for my father for his birthday. EDIT- LOL it doubled in price since my comment. Guess there is a decent market for phantom boxes.
