  1. Wheels/Tires look great! Ive got a 67 On the bench too, but I went with N50s and ET Slots.
  2. Revell makes excellent kits of some modern muscle, the 2010 Camaro SS, Challenger SRT8, 2013 Boss 302, 2008 Bullit mustang, 2010 shelby, and 2006 Dodge Magnum srt8. You will also find the 2009 Charger SRT8 from lindberg is a very nice kit too. As far as import, I know that revel just re-released the Acura integra, and I believe the civic is up soon also. Revell just re-issued the Datsun 510 Bluebird also.
  3. Now for the Tamiya The body is multi piece, including opening doors the front bumper is multi-piece with a separate valance, whereas the Revell kit is all 1 piece. Engine detail is excellent Multi-piece "skeleton" and chassis, whereas the Revell chassis and wells are 1 piece the wheels are a Matte finish and are VERY NICE, all 1 piece, versus the Revell shiney chrome face with plastic "barrels". The tires are INCREDIBLE with very nice sidewall detail and nice tread. This kit also comes with metal stickers, decals and mesh for the vents NOT INCLUDED with the kit, but available from Tamiya, is this Carbon Fiber decal template which is very nice also. The Tamiya kit is much crisper overall, Once I get into actually building I will see how each go together, Im sure the revel will build up nicely, however the Tamiya has much more detail.
  4. Ive had a few people ask me to post a review/ comparison of the LaFerrari kit, so I figured I would post both for everyone to see the contents of each kit. I apologize for some of the photos, I am still learning to use this camera (Canon t3i) ] First up, the Revell kit The body is mostly 1 large piece, molded in white. and the doors do NOT open. the decals look good, the chrome is very shiney, included in the packaging is some mesh for vents The wheels to me are just "Meh" chrome is bright and shiney tires are decent, they have sidewall detail
  5. Tomorrow afternoon I will post up a side by side review of both contents in the reviews section.
  6. Id go with the supremes! Love em, had a set f my 1:1 64 Caddy convertible.
  7. Ive been on a Ferrari kick lately.... Ever since seeing our neighbour at the Lakes 458 Italia, and photos of the LaFerrari which re-kindled my love for Ferraris. These have all come in over the past few days.
  8. yes^ Hobby Design has a set of 21" tires labelled as Ferrari tires. I have a few sets they are very nice.
  9. Revell kit is very nice. Ive built 3 of the AMT and 5 or 6 of the Revell ( also had a 1:1 Camaro, which I just sold) and the Revell kit is very nice. Excellent detail, goes together really well.
  10. great start. What size are the tires? I have allot of Chief Josephs` parts/tires and have never seen them.

  15. very ncie build!
  16. There is a white one running around town with the license plate "sugar" and a blue one with a red fender and green door with the plate "Rubix" I find both very amusing lol
  17. My Dads '63 Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe convertible is the car that started it all for me. Hes had the car for 35+ years, since before us kids were in the picture. He used to come home from work, have dinner and when we would go to bed, he would head out into the garage to work on stuff, tune etc...... Would come in and wake me at 2 or 3am, tell me to be be quiet so we wouldn't wake mom up ( I was like 4 lol)..... and we would go for a cruise, which generally ended in a smokey burnout on the stretch of highway behind our house. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY5N8yFd7to He is also now building a 63 Acadian 2dr Hardtop Ive just started a full resto on my 63 Nova 2dr Hardtop. 450hp 383 stroker th350 ,3000 stall, 4:11s/ Bolt in Heidts subframe, the whole 9 yards.
  18. I drive back and fourth to work in a ext cab '13 Silverado, Mind you its an 8 hour drive to the airport and parked for 2 weeks while I work..... For me if its not enjoyable , why own it? would I enjoy driving a 4 or 6 cyl? no.... do I care about the fuel mileage or cost of fuel... no. I want to enjoy it and everytime I drive it, I want to remember why I bought it.
  19. May lay the "smack down" but sounds like a sewing machine while doing it. Nothing compares to the sound of a V8. Buddys Hyundai Genesis is snappy and goes good..... but sounds like a wood plainer.
  20. Excellent build..... that exhaust though...... dang it looks good!
  21. Cuda went back into the box and haven't touched It in months. Havent actually worked on anything. Ive been home for a total of 16 days since mid June, so really no time to work on anything, model or 1:1.
