sounds like more people need to save their change..... im sick of hearing whining all the time, buy it or don't. I for one will be buying a few sets. -
So why do you or we stash kits?
mademan replied to greymack's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just buy what I like..... If I like a kit then ill buy a case or 3 . Last first of the Revell Lowrider Cadillac (then Donk) was supposedly the only run, so I gathered up 20 or so of them.... then a few years later the California Wheels lowrider one came out, It is by far one of my favorite kit, so I bought 2 more cases of them. Same with the Revell 2010 Camaro SS kit.... Great kit, In MY OPINION one of the nicest newer kits in years, I also have a 1:1 2011 and many ideas for them, so I bought 3 cases total. So for me its a matter of just having what I like to build on hand. Then you find the older issues that are harder and harder to find, and increasing in cost. The revell Tuner series Honda Civic coupe and Acura Integra, the Monte Carlo Aeroback, the AMT 454SS truck, AMT Baldwin Motion 70.5 Camaro..... I buy/trade for every one of them that I find. Ive got some kits in my stash that I have 10-30 of,just for the fact that I like the kit and have lots of ideas. -

looks like the flaring will all be separate. sorry for such a small picture , it wouldn't let me save the fullsized one. -
Started out as a "quick build" of AMTs showroom 2013 ZL-1...... wasn't happy, so I hacked up a Revell 2010 Camaro SS and merged them..... the rest of the body is the same anyways. Mock Up on some 3D printed Concave wheels Front bumper all molded in with first round of putty, as well as filled the mail slot Rear diffuser all molded in , as well as side skirts almost ready for first shot of primer Corvette ZR1 ls9 right at home....I still need to make the correct supercharger cover

cast the bracket...... would be easy enough -
take my money...... Ill buy them no matter what name they put on it. I dont care about stock/custom...... modify it to your liking; Its just plastic. and 69.00 for a /12th scale kit...... thats not bad at all. too many whiners......... I cant believe people are actually complaining because having to buy separate parts is out of their budget....... sell off some of your stuff you arent using, or save up.

HD wasnt going to release this, due to Factory EightyOne releasing it...... Looks mostly like a copy, right down to the etch "rocket bunny" spoiler ends that are identical. -
excellent weathering! I really like this build!

A buddy at work asked me to do a quick build for his sons 8th birthday..... by quick I mean in under a week. I started with Revells 2010 Camaro SS kit, had a buddy at the auto body supply store mix me up some more Synergy green, and used the kit supplied decals. Ive added basic detail, including flocking and silver trim pieces on the dash and console I should have this one wrapped up by tomorow night hopefully.
