  1. Assembled Engine for paint. There was a large gap between the heads and intake on both sides, so I tightened it up with some .75mm styrene. Also smoothed out all of the seam lines on the engine/trans. Sorry for the constant updates. I work away from home for long periods at a time, so I have limited time to build. Its worked out that I have quite a bit of time this week.
  2. Not totally sure to tell ya the truth. The black 1:1 looks to have wider that 275 though. Although, I don't think there are any sources in 24th, or 25th for an accurate 275 BFG either. Edit* Found this one a Mopar site. "15X8 wide, 4.5 inches backspace, 295-50-15 Cooper Cobras. Fit and don't rub on my car with stock suspension. If you want to run a 10 inch wide rim you will need to relocate the springs in"
  3. Valve covers wrinkle painted. I used an aerosol "texture" paint from Rona. Texture is a bit out of scale, but overall im happy with it.
  4. Excellent buys then! Even with the 40% off coupon here, Kits are still around 18-20.00 Regular price for most kits at Micheals are 32.99-36.99
  5. I removed a bit of material from inside the wheel well, tires tuck a bit more like the reference photo.
  6. Not too bad actually. compared to the kit tires. and here Mocked up on the car. I definatly need to massage the inner fenderwells to accept the larger tires, however I don't think it looks exaggerated at all over the photo in the first post.
  7. while waiting on glue and filler to dry, I dug through my paint stash and found a pewter that is fairly convincing, for the shaker and grille surround.
  8. During discussion in the Cuda Review thread, Photos of this car were posted, and I immediately fell in love with it. I started gathering parts, and decided that I must use Fireball Modelworks 295/50/15 tires. I got a set of deep/shallow Scenes Unlimited resin Mopar steelies, and a set of Missing Link resin hubcaps. Problem now, is that the Scenes Unlimited Mopar steelies are 1;25, while the tires are 1:24 and I believe the steelies are also 14" , so first task was finding some scrap wheels, and cutting the Barrel to fit the steelies. Wheels will be all black with chrome hubcaps, pay no attention to the chrome lips. The wheels still require allot of work, but you se the basic concept.
  9. first 3 I bought from gmscustoms were 58.00 then after the first week, I got the next 3 for 48.99 I think everyone was a bit high at first.
  10. Decided to go with Victory Red. Stage 1 done. needs more black, lower grille/splitter, window trim, rear diffuser and blackout panel between the tail lights.
  11. Kits that I like I buy lots of. Revell Lowrider/donk Cadillac.... Ive got 3 cases of them. Revell 2010 Camaro SS.... I owned a real Camaro, so I bought a case and a half of them.... plan what I wanted to do to my 1:1 and build variances.... Same with the Dodge Magnum, I have a 1:1 .... so I bought lots of the models. Generally kits I really like Ill buy a case of just to have on hand, for if I get other ideas, etc.
  12. Excellent work on the engine!!! looks great.
  13. Pulled this one back out again, finished up most of the body work. Still unsure if I want to go with the trademark Red, or do dark Navy metallic instead.
  14. Here is my first project of the new year. Will be slow going, as I work out of town for weeks at a time, thus have minimal time to build. I am using the Mike Schnur Mastered/ Greg Wann Beautifully cast, correct body and a resin cowl from Rdsxfan2 on ebay. I will also be using a set of Joseph ( Fireball Modelworks) 295/50/15s out back. A while back I had send some random parts out for chrome, the intake for a 2006 Mustang being one..... I will be using the engine/trans from that never mustang for this build.
  15. I just received my 3, and I must say Mike you did an incredible job mastering this body, and Greg did a great job of casting it, flawless and kit like, was very worth the wait; I've already started on one.
  16. Before I knew that the kit came with black stripes, I ordered a set from him, as well as the Pace car and yenko sets in white/red and black. now I need to find shelf space for all these large scale that im planning to build. lol
  17. I just got some white decals from him, so he may be setup now.
  18. Ive got a few of these resin bodies.... they use the grand national or monte carlo kit as a donor. Ive got 3 1:1 Cutlasses myself, an 84, 86, and 87
  19. pretty sure that Firebird Designs on ebay makes white decals! I also got pace car decals from him too..... very nice decal work. check out what he has, and message him.... im fairly certain that if he doesn't have white stripes, that he could make them. http://www.ebay.com/sch/firebird_designs/m.html?item=291044122852&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  20. Got one of my cases of the Revell 1/12 Foose `69 Camaro Z28s in today. Here is a quick shot of the box art, first glance into the box, and a quick look at the contents. Rally wheels and I believe " pro stars" on this tree Nice new tires, nothing like the horrid 1/12 Shelby pucks... new Foose wheels and finally the decal sheet..... orange box art stripes and regular Z stripes. Looks like a great kit, right out of the box. No flash, all parts look crisp and clean. Chrome is excellent. Cant wait to start building these.
  21. Ive always just gone through ebay. That's odd, he is usually fairly on the ball and fast responding.
  22. I have to agree with you.... without knowing the background , "Rocket Bunny" sounds fairly childish; However the 1:1 examples are incredible.... from GM V8 ls2 swaps to 2jz twin turbo, and wearing the Rocket Bunny widebody kit..... fairly serious, lol
  23. obviously the business stand point is good.... it was the most displayed car at SEMA...
