...2005 cadillac cts-V better performance, styling and interior versus.... challenger, lol. most likely driven by an older person, 4 door, but sporty as heck, also fun!! 400hp... 395 fpt.... take one for a drive, you`ll change your mind instantly! -

roughly , 3-4grand in the past 3 years or so. -
they both look great. I have the Miller Meteor, and the S&S superior high top. the Monogram kit will not work, the bumpers are a bit too wide, and the fins are part of the body. You have to use the Ghostbusters kit, as the fins are a separate piece.

yes there is some.... somewhat to scale lace. this green one in particular is PERFECT for the side of a 63 impala im doing. I only got a few yards of it, just gotta keep your eyes open.

Its model cars guy, I build my way, you build yours. I get flack for building up rare old jo-han kits, and cutting up 200.00 promos..... but im not gona pack up my toys and go home. What it comes down to , is that they are after-all just toys, we all have our own styles, our own views and opinions, and we do things the way WE like them. sure 48 hours on 96 hours arent my thing, heck, Ive been working on my green hearse for 9 months. But I have alot of respect for the guys that can pull off a clean build in that timeline. I also dont much care for donks or nascar;but hey ill check out a thread about em, after all we are all here to build models and check out each others work, and expand and share our knowledge. my way of looking at it is.. you dont like a donks... dont build one, you dont like 48 hour buildoffs.... dont enter them, but dont be-little others or make remarks that can be taken the wrong way, tip your hat, about turn, and exit the topic. Nothing against you Mark weve had disagreements before, however youve also given me information and helped me out. Take a few days , or weeks away from the forum, and comeback after things cool down a bit.

im a huge hearse fan.... would I buy a real one... probly not, thats creepy (kevin, lol) but im fascinated by them. If they werent Cadillacs... I wouldnt go near em, but my love for cadillacs , and being different is what draws me to them.
-
depends....if you are gonna build em, or hold onto em. I have a stockpile of johan hearses and ambulances.... which I am building 1 by one. its making some collectors mad.... but I dont really care. I laugh at the people who pay $70+ for these kits, most I have no more than 25.00 or so into.... for a factory sealed kit
-
yep.... from a few months ago...
-
17 at the moment.
-
I feel ya there, im going through foil like crazy, with all the big bodies, and hearses, etc.
-
an hour on oneside only? dang, ive got over 6 hours into foiling mine and not even close to done yet. ive got another hearse project, brewin, keep your eyes open. 4 more on the way, bringing my total to 17 ambulance and hearses its looking good so far.

just because the wheel wells are a bit off, and the body is a bit out of proportion. on a 1:1 20" cerebus` look sick!!!
-
The main thing for me, is I like building the different stuff that no one else builds, so with this stuff, when I go to a show (never done a contest) no one has anything like my work. Most people wont spend the money on a johan kit, to build it, so I dont have to worry about anyone at local shows having what I have..... plus the fact that Im a Caddy man! I am however going to be starting on a 32 ford hot/rat rod.... powered by... you guessed it, a cadillac 365!
-
I cut the factory speaker out of the original seal... and moulded it into the new seat.
-
well , I couldnt find any seats that matched the rear seat im using, and the front seats looked to "racey).... so I bulked em up a bit, by adding styrine, and shaving it to the shape I wanted with a razor knife. heres what ive ended up with... before filler and primer etc. its got more of a "new caddy " seat feel to it.
-
as far as I know, no one makes a deville. the rear seat is friom a 57 fairlane. it came with those seats and stock.
-
trust me... you dont want a tkm kit!!! I only bought the sts because I had a 92, and wanted to replicate it..... its is way way out of proportion, thick/thin slushcast, basically a hunk of resin junk, lol. I would never wish a tkm upon anyone, lol. I dnt have pics of the eldo at the moment... its in the shop in the "will never build pile" lol warped body flash on the windows is about 1/4 inch thick. heres the STS monstrosity like I said before... I only build rare cadillacs, lol. heres some of my "in the works" and such the 4 door resin Fleetwood Brougham ( big body) was availible through "Betos customs" but he has since sold the mold, and "bodine" has it now, I believe he is on here. you may be able to talk to him about one. They are also available on ebay from a seller "twinn" his casts are nice too. just search resin big body. as for the tkm.... i would stay away, lol. If I find the eldo ill get pics for you.
-
well i decided to cut it up ... if I dont like how it looks ill just use it in the vert..... same interior tub. I sectioned out a piece of the back seat, to lower the back a bit. now im gonna cut the sides and stuff off of the front buckets, and bulk em up a bit.
-
yes, I have 17 of the resin big body 94-96 cadillacs. I am building one of every style. -stock vynil top -stock bald top -1/4 vynil top -convertible -2 door vynil top -2 door bald top -wagon and a bunch in between. Im a sucker for caddys! I also have a tkm resin *cough*###### 4 door 92 seville and eldorado
