Cars for Kids...Thank you.
mademan replied to Rachel_B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Im gonna throw my hat in with Rollin. Peoples hearts are in the right place, but it sounds a bit too vague for me. We had a member on another forum that Rollin` and I spend most of the time on, who claimed he needed money, and to sell stuff to help a sick daughter out with hospital bills, some people even just sent him/paypalled him money, and this and that, and in the end... it was a scam. btw ill make it easier, im from canada eh! I live in an igloo and drink beer. hit me with a cutdown !!! -

Hey there, I dont realy post a whole lot here, but thought I would bring this build over, as It is in a buildoff against "Undead WHite Boy, a.k.a. EVILONE" on another forum. I will update this as much as I can, but the build off ends april 8th - july 8th, so I am not rushing things. here are some pics: sealed jo-han kit> a few odds and ends test fitting the 572 big block resin, smoothing the firewall, etc. Then I decided to go "full show" under the hood, and extend the inner fenders and smooth it all out. more pics to follow

www.thepartsbox.com for turbos. They are out of australia, so shipping is around 12.00 to north america, but it is very clean resin!

the ones I have are sealed hoods. ebay item# 290226944819 has a couple underhood 59 pics. hope it helps. -
weathering would be a kool touch, either way, im sure it will look great. question too, where did you get those wide whites? they look great.

I kinda tend to get carried away. Most of the kits I build are cadillacs ,therefore I have to use either old Jo-hans, or resin. My current project has me up to about 200.00, as the kit itsef was 75.00 ( bought it mint/sealed) then you factor in resin motor-20.00, wheels 10.00, etc, etc,

not much of an update really. Ive been messing with the front bumper cover a bit. still undecided where im going with this build. I wouldnt mind suggestions fo the front bumper, im open to anything.

Heres one I just started on. Its a 2006 stang with all the goodies from Psf hobbies- resin chin spoiler, window vents and formula hood. I started by filling the holes for the rear spoiler, making side skirts from sheet styrine, and moulding in the front spoiler. I have decided to go with 19" Pegasus T`s. im thinking it will be a Metallic Graphite, with a red accent of some sorts.

looking great so far! i really like that color. I got a ford color mixed, its called, orange burst effect. i believe its a color from 2005. and i plan to do a civic 2dr coupe with it. for the interior i think a 2 tone light tan and a brown would go good with that color. not a dark brown but a "cardboard box " looking brown.

"honey Garlic Buffalo wings" deep fry, or bake breaded chicken wings. -toss cooked wings in a mixture of franks red hot sauce, and Ranch (1/2 and 1/2) -then toss in renee`s brand honey garlic sauce! they are excellent!! sweet, but a bit hot yet.

IM gonna go ahead and add my .02 cents here. Honestly, the whole idea of a young versus old build-off is rediculous. This whole thread has turned into a "stereotypical B**ch-fest" weve got a few younger members making the whole of young people look terrible on here, and weve got a few older people, who are making themselves look bad. You have to remember that You are just a screen -name with your name at the bottom, until anyone starts posting ages, there is no need for anyone to even know, or care. I for one could care less about how old a fellow builder is, I have learned MOST of what i know from older people, be it online, or in person; And you have to remember that if it wasnt for older people most of the kits we build today, and the techniques we use probably wouldnt exist. I have also learned ALOT from younger people too, and both have been equally helpful in my building. I may not build high quality show cars, I may not win contests/ or even enter them, but I build for myself and thats what betters me(/yourself) as a builder, to strive for personal satisfaction, instead of trying to win over others hearts. now I think we need to have this "contest" called off and lock up these useless topics on here, before it gets out of hand. lots of members are getting irritated, and I think that hard feeligs between forum members is the last thing we need. ...end speach. thx, Mike

I also think the 'young " versus "old" isnt doing anything but causing more hard feelings between both sides. and hey, im a "young punk" lol - but my pockets aint empty! ive only got a collective 2-3 years building.
