...I hope the rest of the album is better. Not heavy enough. its like a cross between nickleback and seether....... -
not a whole lot done since my last post. but i decided to pull this one back out and wrap it up while im waiting for gold foil, and parts at the chromers on my 94 fleetwood vert. I am pretty much finished up on the foil. Interior is being wrapped up tonight with the addition of seatbelts/buckles. i went ahead and made another of my trademark coffin engine covers for this one and made a dist. and wires from a piece of alum. tubing and some green wire. at this point i have decided to go with a static drop, low to the ground all around. Im saving the machined pumps/dumps/cylinders for another project.

thanks for the comments guys! Ill be bumping my hearse topic later on tonight with a few minor updates. Nothing major, but im gettin there. also- The body fits the impala/caprice (92 caprice, 94-6 impala)

I decided on the color for my top/ boot and guts... Light sandy tan. Goes well with the paint, im quite happy with how it came out.

he goes by the name Betoscustoms on Layitlow.com model forum. When he first cast them they were around 100.00 /each, but im not sure what they are at now. Detail is great. the vert comes with moulded in hood. but comes with an aftermarket Castle grille. Uptop, down boot, door panels, second shirts, conti. kit. so its all there. And they use the Impala ss (94-6) kit, or caprice taxi/firechief/police, as a donor. The 4dr fleetwods come with open hood, but you have to use the wupet cowl from the impala.

heres one more from in the sunlight today. the clear really made the pearl/ and flake PoP

thanks for all the comments guys! Gel pens are just your everyday school supply, the ink is a thicker gel in different colors, you can draw pinstripes, outlines, designs etc. But you have to clear over it so that it doesnt smudge, because they do not fuly dry. the best ones are the Rose Art brand.
-
did 1 shot of clear, to seal it all in, since the gel pens dont dry, unless cleared. so now I can wait, wetsand again, do some more penwork, and a bit of gold leaf. then 4 or so more clear coats. Btw im using Dupont Premier chroma-clear through a Paasche vls-t
-
-started to foil, and outline my "patterns" in gelpen
-
i decided to shoot Lime-gold kandy! and i really like how it came out. Now is wetsand time, then gel pens, foil and final clear.
-
-started masking out for my second color HOK limetime shimrin pearl. -layed down some lime-time pearl then masked off a bit more shot some thinned down organic green kandy
-
here`s a project that I have been planning for a while now. I started out with a Betoscustoms Resin. trimmed it all up, did a bit of cleanup, nothing major. ill let the pics do the talking: add them to the pile! -layed out some HOK orion silver fine flake -figuring out my first masks -getting em filled in - first color- HOK Planet Green

looks great! i really like the colors you chose. Detail is perfect. Great job once again!!

if possible can you please email me @ speedbird_tbird@hotmail.com with info on where to aquire one of these kits. I must have one!!!

what i would do, is cut the lincoln roof at the red line that i have drawn. then graft the rear part of the impala roof that you had previously removed, to the back of the lincoln roof. Quite a bit of custom fab work is envolved, but it will look pretty cool. you will also have to round off the bottom of the roof, to the "end gate" portion. just an idea

With everyone workin on the new nova kit ( including myself ) I have decided to bring out the trumpeter 63 ... and cut it up a bit. here is where im at so far.... i realy dont know where im going with it... just building as I go test/mock up sorta

ive got 6 of the caskets but youd have to pry em outta my cold dead hands, lol

to tell you the truth, I havent touched it in a few weeks. EvilOne (undead_white_boy) backed out of the buildoff a couple weeks back, and then I had some important family issues to take care of. But I am now back to normal, and ready to go again. I should have an update in a day or so. Jaffa- I was originally going to go with a "Locked up" rear end and nose down, but I am contemplating, and all around low ride height. I cut the factory moulded in rear suspension and driveshaft out, and replaced it with a homemade aluminum driveshaft, and chrome rear impala suspension. i will try to have an update in a day or so! thx for the interest guys, Mike

No need to apologize to me buddy. I totally 100% see where you were comming from, I was just upset about the remark made to a good friend of mine (rollin). Anyways I understand that we all get worked up sometimes and say things that we dont mean, we are all human. It is a sad world that we live in, where you cant trust people with things like this anymore. I would love nothing more than to brighten a childs day by sending a model off my shelf, i am however a very skeptical person after being ripped off a few times, where people had used a family member, or a childs health as a basis to rip me, or my friends off. As i said in the other thread, if it does turn out to be a legit cause, I have a model here that is ready to go! (I would send more, but I have nothig else done) thanks for the apology, now lets put this behind us and get back to building!

^thats exactly where im comming from. I have no problem whatsoever, grabbing a model off the shelf to make a youngster feel better! I just need to know that it is 100% legit, as ive had too many bad experiences in the past.
