No more Centerline racing wheels....
mademan replied to Lordmodelbuilder's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It sucks... most people just remember that Centerline made 14-15" wheels...... people dont realize all of the other lines and brands associated with them, from Truck wheels to 20+ " billet wheels. Definitely a huge loss in the automotive world .... unfortunately I wasnt able to get another set of 20" Smoothies for my next project -
Great build! Was my top pick @ Bridgecon, love the details.

Looks great, saw it in person at Bridgecon last weekend. Excellent build!

eBay Shipping Weirdness Continues...
mademan replied to Mike999's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Im fed up with shipping as a whole lol. I live in Canada, thus cant get basically anything here... it all has to come from the states. Last week I ordered a 5 gallon tank and 2 compressors for my air suspension in my 67 impala lowrider 1:1 project...... Cost was $324.00 Cdn and shipping was $23.00 CDN,for a parcel weighing almost 25lb and 2.5' x 3' x2' box. I fully expected to pay brokerage/duty and taxes..... but nothing, no charges. This week I ordered 4 air bags and brackets.... a box 1.5' x 1.5' x 1.5x and weighing only about 10lb...... cost was $167.00 shipping was $75.00 and I got hit with $66.14 in brokerage/duty/ and taxes...... seems like the game just changes daily, whenever they decided to charge you..... also BOTH boxes were shipped from the SAME LOCATION. -

Revell 67 Camaro- Source for flat stock hood
mademan replied to mademan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
thanks for the suggestion, Ive got a couple of them also, as Snake said.... not quite close enough for a stock grill, also too small for the opening. I may just adapt a MCG AMT 67 photo etch set. -
I know he has been a bit bogged down and is working really hard to get orders cast and out. Ive dealt with Jeremy lots and a couple orders have taken a bit but always well worth it.

Revell 67 Camaro- Source for flat stock hood
mademan replied to mademan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Im building Kindig-it Designs Mike Hess 67 Camaro. the interior in the revell kit is way way closer, as well as the dash etc. Ive already got the correct resin grill, and a few other parts for the Revell kit. I do have the AMT kit also, but id have to swap out the whole interior, as the door panels are wrong also and its got a molded tub. -
Revell 67 Camaro- Source for flat stock hood
mademan replied to mademan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks for the offer David, I actually just got a reply back from FAB , and he had pulled the hood off the site because the mold was deteriorating... however he is going to cast me up a couple and get them to me. thanks again! -
Revell 67 Camaro- Source for flat stock hood
mademan replied to mademan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I know that FAB resinworks lists it in their coming soon section, but I don't think that has been updated since the 67 kit came out a few years ago..... -
excellent work! Question - what camera are you shooting your pics with?
-
I haven't actually. Never thought to check with him, thanks!

Anyone know of a supplier for Toyo Proxes Tire Decals? I am about to start on a replica of a local Vette and require some. Ive found every other tire maker..... but not toyo.
-
I threw my hat in the ring.... might aswell, Love Novas, have a couple hundred nova kits, lol. Im going to do a prostreet 63 Hardtop Orignal AMT annual kit.
-
I honestly did not intend to ever buy this kit.... I had a 2011 and loved that body..... I really dont care for the new style.... but I was given this kit as a gift, and as it turns out with some tweaks I dont fully dislike the car anymore, lol

Been busy with work and havent had much time to work on this project, However I have started to Modify and reshape the Clearly Scale Challenger spoiler. Im still not sure if it is going to work or not, but It needs allot more work. I also decided to use the stock engine and dug out a procharger, Ill use a clearlyscale resin engine in the next one I build. I also dug out some Hobby Designs 325/35/20 tires as the Aoshima tires that came with the BBS wheels werent wide enough for the rear. So far I am liking how it is coming together. The wider rears look a heck of allot better Not sure who cast the procharger unit, I am thinking it is an older VCG resins.

I got the passengers side skirt fitted, and started playing around with a ClearlyScale.com Resin spoiler meant for the 2009+ Challenger.... If I can mod it to fit the curve and look right it might just work. I also started looking more into the decals that I had Made for the 2010 SS kit.... the thick red center stripe might work as well as the side hockey stick stripe. I, still undecided if I will procharge the stock engine or use a ClearlyScale resin engine.

Thanks guys, like I said all opinions, and criticisms are welcome. I hadn't really compared the old stripes to the new hood, but after looking closer the shape of them won't look right on the new hood.
