Ya know what? You're right all of us who have these kits and have compared the decals in real life are clearly morons who can't see straight. It can't possibly be a printing error. Nooooooo, Revell is perfect within these digital wall. I'm done arguing with people on here, go buy your cheap U.S. kits with it's cheap not printed by Cartograf decals and have hoot having it look like a dumpster fire in final result compared to an AG sourced kit.

There's no real need to wonder what the cost of U.S. manufacturing is at this point. Salvinos JR designs and manufactures their kits in the U.S. Their MSRP is $39.99, MSRP on Revell kits produced after everything has died down is $26.95. A 25% tariff takes that up to a little over $33, so it's still cheaper to do things in China.

I have yet to see a U.S. set of decals that fully in register and with the right colors. So it looks like the entire run of decals is bad. Probably the best example out how out of register the sheet is for those with U.S. kits is the fact that the arrows on the body work slam locks (that show the rescue crews how and where to detach body work in case of a fire) should be ON the slam lock decal, every set I've seen - dozens of them at this point - have the arrow printed beside the slam lock. The blue backed decals are the U.S. ones. It's like the entire thing is missing a color coat or something, and some of what did print on the last print run before the top coat is off register. The Ford logos are almost black, the Castrol Edge decals are missing an entire white border, and those slam locks are not only out of register, they're the wrong color as well. Decal #55 doesn't even have arrows printed on the U.S. sheet. Not to go off on a tangent, but who approved these?

Toys were never part of the Tariff scheme up until these last round of tariffs. So they'll be dinged at 25%, the questions is to what degree the model manufacturers pay the tariff. For the most part these guys are getting the kits ready for sale by the container, so they'd be paying a tariff on the wholesale value of the shipment. Even if they were to hire a temp staff to assemble kits - to attempt to pay a lower value price of parts and the boxes, they're still going to have to pay on them in some fashion. The ugly bottom line would be a 25% increase on Round2, Revell & Moebius kits. Salvinos JR won't be affected because they do their stuff here in the U.S. Neither will Japanese or European companies as these are purely U.S. vs. China issues. From a sales aspect Blitz at least has the option to flood the market with German boxed versions of the newer Revell kits as those wouldn't be subject to the tariffs. I suspect somebody's gonna give before too long because I can't see the U.S. or China wanting to head into Christmas with toys costing 25% more across the board.

I'm not sure I see the point in it for either company. Sure I suppose it might put Italeri's kits out to a broader U.S. market but the MSRP of nearly $80 is almost $20 than the Pete 378 sells for in most places. I can't see Round2 selling a lot of them unless you can 40% off one and pick it up for less than $50.

Mayhaps, they're not on the June run list yet, but that won't be finalized for a few weeks. It's not like Round2 actually seems to know exactly when they'll release kits, they prove that on a monthly basis with the Chad videos.

Picked mine up a few minutes ago, so it's out.

Probably July, maybe August at the latest.

We have them on our "EcoWeight" trailers at work. The biggest issue with them is when you flat spot one, you FLAAAAAAAAAAAT SPPPPPPPPPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOT one. Had one the other day skinned all the way down to the cords, I guess the driver who brought it to me didn't notice that it sounded like a rolling flat tire going down the road.

I have the Chardonnay one, why do you think I keep repeatedly saying these are street cars with no race car parts? Well I suppose it does come with that front light pod, but it's just a piece of plastic that goes on the hood that represents the covered version shown, there aren't actual lights

The better comparison is probably between the "EM" Stratos and the Hasegawa street Stratos Strasdale since the Fujimi kit isn't a rally car.

I've been reliably informed the R8 and 911s (RSR & GT3) kits are there in some form. But I have as of yet been able to mind control someone into actually taking photos of them.

It's been a Beemax Standard kit, it's a Gr. B Rally car. The Easy kits were a 280Z, BMW 320i Gr. 5, BMW M1 Gr. 5, and now evidently an Gr. 5 RX-7 has been added (unless that replaced the 320i) Internally it's all the same company, so I don't think it really matters who the end company is that makes it, it's just who's the investor/distributor. When you think of the sheer volume of kits Beemax has to produce, maybe "dumping" the Easy Kits into the NuNu "line" is the simplest choice to make sure they get done in a timely manner. Because Beemax needs to get out - in addition to the BMW M3 Evo Sport II, Toyota Carina BTCC, Mitsubishi Lancer RAC Rally, Mitsubishi Starion Gr. A JTCC, and the two F-1 modified reissues (Brabham BT 52B and McLaren MP4/2C) Porsche 911 RS SC Gr. B Rally Peugeot 305 Maxi Toyota Starlet Touring Nissan Sunny Touring BMW M3 E46 GTR BMW E46 S2000 ETCC BMW E90 WTCC Audi A4 BTCC Porsche 935 K3 Numero Reserve '79 Le Mans Porsche 935 K3 Hawaiian Tropic '79 Le Mans 2013 Chevrolet Cruze AON Macau/Japan GP WTCC Plus there's a Rally Version of the Starion, another variant of the Lancer, still an unreleased kit from the AE92 Corolla Levin, and probably another S4 and Audi S1 if they want to have paired Tarmac/Dirt versions like they did with their other rally kits.

FWIW the Lancia Stratos are EM"ish" kits. They take the engine out of the EM Dino and slap it into a rather run of the mill later-tooled body and interior. Also while they all have that Rally "look", none of them are actually rally cars, they're all street cars with rally inspired decal sheets. Which may have started the great "tradition" of Fujimi releasing race cars that are in fact street cars with racing liveries added, without a single bit of racing gear.

That great irony of that price tag is that the reissue that came out in March of 2018. My gawd the inflation!

Working off the pictures I've seen, Beemax's display is all soon to be released kits. The BMW M3 Evo Sport II, Mitsubishi Lancer & Starion, the BTCC Toyota Carina, and 1/20 F-1 modified reissues of the BT 52B, and MP4/4C. So far I haven't seen any "future projects" section, but the show doesn't open to the public until Saturday so we're working with manufacturer and vendor sourced photos right now. I've seen at least one shot of the Platz table that has a rapid prototype of the M8 GTE lurking in the background, so that's there, but nothing of either 911 or the Audi...as they say - more to come.

Beemax has got your race car Lancers, but Hasegawa was all - but you need STREET caaaaaars.
