  1. There is already a work bench thread. Please use the search function.
  2. The HF double action has a.very small tip...for lacquer metallics you just need to thin them with lacquer thinner.
  3. Two actually. First, are these the same? does one leave a better shine than the other? Second, I tested the Boyd's clear over white Testors Enamel . Clearly the Boyd's is yellow in the bottle and the other is.clear. I noticed that the boyds clear actually made the white a little yellow looking. Did I not use enough lacquer thinner?
  4. Harbor Freight has a double action airbush and compressor combo on sale right now for 69.00..that is a great deal.
  5. Yup,bought some 311 last week...good stuff.
  6. Thx for the help all and especially fatkid!
  7. I have a handful of enthusiast kits and the parts count is mind boggling. Looking forward to this build!
  8. Thanks Dr.C....what is your method of using HOK paints though? How do you spray it? Many light coats? One heavy coat? Time between coats? DOug
  9. I got a free can of sg-100 from a paint store, but it's not really meant to be used as a final clear coat per the instructions....too many coats and it will bubble. Another question: I've done the Yost method with enamels, but what is the preferred method of painting bodies using urethane? Many coats? Many light coats? Time in between coats?
  10. Owen, I've removed the snide comment made by the other member. Feel free to keep posting in this thread. Some people enjoy paper models. I will move this the correct category as requested.
  11. Your thread might not have drawn the participation that you had expected, but you should continue to show your progress. There are still some interested, and down the road others might reference this thread for their own model. PM me if you would like it re opened.
  12. How about some pictures Harry Palmer?
  13. Have you Googled it? http://www.digicamhelp.com/processing-photos/photo-hosting/all-about-flickr/
  14. This is your first post? What are we looking at?
  15. It also depends on what you are painting. If you paint a body with acrylic, it will take ay least a day. But if im painting small parts, acrylic takes maybe a few.hours. All depends how thick it is applied. If I airbush an engine with alcohol thinned acrylic, light coat, its touch.dry within the.hour. I don't use enamel without lacquer thinner OR a food dehydrator. Combining those allows an enamel painted body to be.dry in about 2 days. Straight enamel from a can will take at least a week to dry. Tamiya in the can dries very fast..within a day or so.
