  1. looks pretty smooth. how was the kit to build?
  2. two words popped into my mind when i saw this build: "holy cow!"
  3. excellent build, really top notch. no way! i tried that, it didn't look anything like the stock version!
  4. it's an awesome build. don't see many of the 2 door versions built
  5. Ford in Australia is dropping their V8's as they don't sell well. I'd consider this a test-run for usa.
  6. Maybe they should be selling them on ebay australia for $50 australia sucks
  7. those metal parts look good. should add nicely to the final look
  8. Nicely done imperial. I've got a cast of a Mk V (1977), it's horrible, but it's a mkv.
  9. I only use word for printing the final image, for things like license plates. it's pages are set to printing sizes, so if you set an image to the size required, it'll print at that size. eg i generate a plate at acme and set the image size to 1.2cm (12 inch divided by 1:25 scale). Photoshop works, but it's a lot more of a pain to get sizes correct.
  10. it's a beautiful model, but it'd be a b***h to drive in full sunlight (there's a reason 1:1 interiors shouldn't be yellow)
  11. i like them all, but the mini is my fav
  12. i love how you detailed the engine particularly. overall, should be interesting to see how it goes.
  13. a quintessential hot rod. nice clean build, i like your interior detailing
  14. nice work so far. i'm surprised you cut it across the center of the trunk, rather than closer to the rear. but, you're doing it. IE grab a pencil

  17. good job on the recovery. looks like it was worth it.
  18. looks awesome. remember: quality is better than quantity
  19. Thanks everyone The A-team van was the latest release version for it. The Fanboys van is the AMT 'dirty donnie' van kit, which is basically a reboxed version of the A-Team van.
  20. It's been a big year since i've been out of work, i've had plenty of time. 21. I hear you, and i did try to fix it. i actually reshaped the hood before final assembly and got a good fit, but i think the hinges hit the dash or something under the cowl, because i couldn't for the life of me get the darn thing to sit down. it fits, but it pops back up as soon as i let it go.
  22. This is cool. i did the same thing to a 68 Dodge Charger myself
  23. After building my "Half-Life Muscle Car" i had a left over front half of a dodge charger. this is what i made of it. Australians are obsessed with coupe-utility style vehicles, so i made it like a Holden ute, with the tray fused with the cab. I used an El-Camino tray with the Charger front half. Engine bay: the slant six was already built. i'd had it in my spares for years and just plonked it in. chassis: i bodged the suspension to ensure proper stance, using styrene tube for the front and hiding them with scratchbuilt A arms. I replaced the short axle in the rear with a styrene tube, but used the elcamino diff, coils and arms. exhaust is a tube, with Charger's muffler.
  24. awesome and very clever too
  25. Looks good, i quite like how you managed to pull off those pinstripes. That's an odd suggested settings. Micro Mark's suggestion is high-quality+gloss-paper. I print it as high quality as possible, and also my photos i use 400 dpi (screen is 75 dpi by comparison), so I don't loose detail when scaling various photos (also good for vector shapes)
