always? only if you 'always' build american made kits (amt/revell). most japanese kits don't suffer those problems, have more detail and better accuracy. i know there's exceptions to this, but it's generally true.
it would make for an interesting documentary/reality show to take some top race drivers and put them through all the different disciplines. I think the rally driver would be the most versatile.
Original mustang was intended to capture the 'secretary' market. nowadays any underpowered 4wd seem to be the 'mom-mobile'.you know, those ones that are hard to park and easy to topple when in trouble.
I'm sure Halicki didn't realise it in 1974 that the shelby's would be the most valuable mustangs (although it would have been fairly obvious, since they were more expensive than stock mustangs). They mention something in the movie that the 73 would be the last mustang.
Looks good. did you replace the AMT supplied rims? i seem to remember them being far oversized and hideously ugly. i used fujimi aftermarket rims myself, but havent painted them yet.

This is my resin HQ monaro that i built as one of the chase cars in Mad Max 2. The front is completely from scratch, made from foil and body filler. the grille is made from styrene rod. Chassis and interior is from a Chevelle kit.
