  1. Bad Boy to build. Keep us posted!
  2. "Deviation from the Norm" I LIKE it!
  3. Owwwwww!!!! MY EYES!!!! Too early onna' Sunday morn...after a Sat'day nite! Where's my sun glasses??? I love it! Great build! Got a "Gasser" plan for one of these.
  4. Just like the real ones. Picked up one of these things. VIA "Box Art". Simple chassis. More simple engine. Hood don't fit. Front end is too wide. Seats wouldn't support an anorexic. Product of the "Slim '70's...I suppose. Yeah, guess you could spend some time and effort to make a quality build. But! Why? Waste it on a ...Gremlin? Redeeming qualities. Nice dual carb intake...adaptable to a small block Chevy. Headers...Same as above. Cragers. Tempo printed H&S slicks. Nice AMC wheels. Javelin? Other than that...too much trouble. Rant over.
  5. Exclusive! But, yeah...the front end height kinda killed it... Jus' sayn'...
  6. I remember this kit...and...a certain Girl. Back in 'tha' days... I was Young...then...
  7. I love it! You nailed the "look"!
  8. Man...you took a Dawg...and made it into a "silk purse"... Great Job!
  9. Excellent! I'm tired...just looking at all the work you have done!
  10. Ebay...rdsxfan2. Resin teardrop hood. One of the best . I've got Modelhaus, Flintstone, etc. resin...THIS one is among the best. Virtually ZERO adjustment.
  11. Thanx... Hadta' pull the rear end back out...Thus the white spots on the frame. Just couldn't get the rear tire offset right to fit in the fender wells. Didn't wanna cut the openings. I'll adjust/drop it in last. Wire the engine. Add the air cleaner threaded screws.. Meybe some Cragers or American 5 spokes on the front. Traction bars... I dunno... Meybe I'll finish it...meybe not...
  12. Like you would have seen...say, back in the late '60's...early '70's. Took a break from building aircraft. Revells '57 Ford seemed like the right platform. A "Gas Station/ Garage Queen". Like them "Good Ol' Boys" woulda' had for some cheap fun! Low budget body. (Tree fell on SchoolMarms 6 cylinder Ford front end) Available 390 Ford engine...(AMT's Starliner 3x2) Parts bin... "Steelies" on slicks... 9 inch posi...4 speed... It's goin' slow, as a build...BUT! I'm havin' fun with this one... Gotta touch up the trim work somewhat... needed dull...only had Bright BMF... Not as steady as I used ta' be... Now, for some early bucket seats...roll bar...and some windows with decals...
  13. Keep them coming. You Anglish is fine!
  14. AMC 304/360/401 engines are externally identical.
  15. Kit manufacturers!!!!! Are you listening??? Do you see the excitement over a '48 Coupe? Now, call in the bean counters and think...'40/41 Chevy Coupe... The missing link to us Gasser fans!
  16. Although I think whitewall slicks limit one to building a very narrow period, and have seen excellent builds that I thought would have benefited from having blackwalls, I salute you on the carrying out of this project so far!
  17. Great job! I think I "murdered" about 4 or 5 of these kits as a child...(early 70's) Tough nuts to crack. Picked up a few more in the 90's... Finally said "Screw it" and did a curbside"...
  18. It rocks!
  19. Now, that's a beauty! It's always good to see a cleanly built Mopar!
  20. I love it! My taste turns towards "American Racing" aluminum 5 spokes though.
  21. Lovely! But, loose the Halibrands. Too "expensive" for this nice build.
