  1. A 2014 Chevy Equinox...when toting the Ol' Lady and GranKids. A 1980 El Camino SS...work in progress when I "let my hair down".
  2. Would they have sold more models than in 1/24?
  3. Wow, just 5? I see some of these have already been listed, but I made MY list up before reading any of these. In no special order: MPC '76 Ventura MPC Ramchargers Dart MPC '71 Cyclone spoiler. MPC ALL Vega's MPC '70 GTO...I missed it last time
  4. AMT '63 Vette Split Window. Hobby Lobby, 40% off coupon. Couldn't remember what was in it. Took a gamble on getting parts I needed for another project. Big Block.Finned valve covers. Tri Carbs. Headers, Deep American mags, slicks. Opened it up, and found that I could rob these parts...and still build a small block Vette. Life is good.
  5. First car, 1960 Impala. It was also my first introduction into the world of "finance". My Dad took me to the bank and co-signed a note for $400. Cost me $49 a month , dualsfor a year. Thought I would NEVER get it paid off! LOL. It had new white paint, chrome reverse wheels, 283 2bbl, Powerglide, duals and the entire interior was black Roll-an-pleated. Had a nice ride and HUGE back seat. By holding both feet on the brake pedal I could go from 60 mph to STOP in about 2 football fields. Land barge. Pic is not it, but almost a dead ringer except for the interior.
  6. These cars were "Gassers / drag cars" into the '70's!!!
  7. Always liked this kit when I was a kid in the late '60's. I think all of the" typical for the time" Revell fidgety/working parts kept me from ever finishing one. I guess the same goes for the '57 Nomad, '56 Bel Air, '55 Chevy, and ALL of the '20's '30's Fords. They did , however contribute a lot of parts that I would use WAY later. The AMT '40 Willys was my favorite once I discovered it. Built a few, plus one pickup. Stopped building around '74. ( 16yrs old...pretty hot '56 Chevy Hard top that was BADD...and, Girls... ) ,, Later, around '81, I started building again. (Marriage) LOL! Dragged out boxes of kits / parts from my Parents basement, and found enough parts to build 2 SW&C Revell Willys. Something about that Olds engine made this kit more unique. But, I just never liked the grill / cheesy headlights. On the post ' 81 builds, I filled in the grill...then shaped it like the AMT. I then modified the headlight closer to the AMT version. When the "new" Revell Willys came out, I bought severa(?) l. Haven't finished a one...yet.Several of the Gassers are still sealed. 1 or 2 have "contributed" parts for other builds. I'll get to them someday. As for this newest release? I will buy at least 3. Maybe more. I believe I can handle those fidgety parts now.
  8. Well, I must give you an "A+" for creativity...
  9. While this, is a very "tasteful" maw...although the "Bling" in the middle of it would look more at home around a Rappers neck...
  10. Must be some "youngsters" on here. LOL! THIS! Is a "gaping maw"...
  11. I've always liked this kit. It can be "interpreted" in so many ways, and look good. I'm not a "customizer", I've used it for Gassers. However, I do appreciate a nice build. Carry on...
  12. Very refreshing.
  13. Where's the bar? Beautiful!
  14. with their kits. The subject matter that they had...they would have sold a zillion more.
  15. Sweet!
  16. Yep...'70's.
  17. I would gamble you've listened to more than one "Blue Oyster Cult" tune in your time... Great work. Great imagination.
  18. They have meds for your condition. Seek help... Awesome builds!
  19. Very nice!
  20. Beautiful!
  21. Beautiful! Now I need my sunglasses...
  22. Yep, I use Purple Power...
  23. Heh...heh...heh... 'probly wont be a OOB build...but I'll be purchasing a few. No more carving up AMT "Nails" for my vintage Gassers. Lots of farming out parts for "other" builds...and dropping other "stuff" into the '29 platform. Little did I know my Crystal Ball was working...when I downloaded THESE 'bout 7 years ago... http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg114/Phillip50_2008/BzrtK8gCGkKGrHqFicEw5rbJUU9BMGd4J19Q_3.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg114/Phillip50_2008/BzrtK8gCGkKGrHqFicEw5rbJUU9BMGd4J19Q_3.jpg Click on the above...for MORE fun.
