  1. Hex, Yeah, thats I used to do with aircraft wheels before someone invented weighted resin wheels Too bad someone doesn't make a flat resin wheel for cars
  2. Danni, Understood. I'll contact you when I'm ready to order Cheers, Ian
  3. Love it!! Gottas love those late '50s early '60s led sleds!
  4. OH, OH, OH, OH ...I need the grille and front valance off of that '72 Catalina!!! It'll fit my Grandville
  5. oh wow, I love this kind of stuff......
  6. Yeah, ditto. I'll be ordering some soon as well What is your eBay name so I can look your stuff up?
  7. Question for Cranky.. Any tips on weathering fiberglass parts on cars? i.e. Endura front ends on late '60's Pontiacs.. I wonder how that Distressed paint would work on something like that......? Cheers, Ian
  8. Hey all, I would assume that your acrylic topcoat color could be blue, green, yellow, gold, etc...? I don't use new kits for junkers..I trade friends for their junkers/partially built kits or go to eBay and look for other peoples junk.. With prices of kits today, I can't see trashing a perfectly good kit to make a junker. Cheers, Ian
  9. Hey all, I've seen some really killer "how-to" articles in the short time I've been here, but I was wondering if anyone has done one on making broken windshields, and how to make flat tires Cheers, Ian
  10. Exactly what I was looking for!. Thanks
  11. Danny, You are the man! That's exactly what I was looking for. I will need that kind of stuff when I do my junker diorama.. thanks, Cheers, Ian
  12. Yeah, I'd love to see a '72 Grandville in kit form or resin, as I own a 1:1 example
  13. Mike, A lot of cool stuff, still no plain old resin rear brake drums, though
  14. OK, This is all that has survived over the years, The blue Goat is the oldest, being built in 1983, and the Tamiya Lamborghini built in 1985 while I was stationed in England. The other two are just rebuilds I did in the mid '90's They are dirty and rough, with crappy paint jobs Thank god my aircraft are better Cheers, Ian
  15. I'd like to check out their stuff. Do you have a link? Cheers, Ian
  16. Thanks guys!
  17. Excellent! Can you paint it?
  18. SWEET!!! This is exactly what I needed for my "abandoned-car-in-a-field" diorama. Great work! Cheers, Ian
  19. Oh yeah, before I forget...does anyone make photoetch or resin hood and trunk hinges?
  20. I've used super glue (both types) for years and I don't build without it. I've used 5 minute epoxy, but only when I have a tough fix. You can used super glue on clear parts, BUT!...only after its been dipped in Future Floor Polish before hand and allowed to dry. Otherwise it will fog the plastic, as mentioned before. As far as cleaning resin parts, I use that spray stuff that you use to clean whitewall tires. Blechley's bleach white, or something like that. It's what I use to clean resin cockpits prior to painting Warm water and soap work good, too. Cheers, Ian
  21. Hey all, Even though I've been building models for a while, I haven't built a car in about 15 years. I was wondering what kind of detail parts are available in resin and photoetch brass. I'm looking for stuff like body scripts, resin brake drums, steel wheels, that sort of thing. I know there is a ton of stuff available for NASCAR racers, but what about regular, old, factory produced cars? Thanks, Cheers, Ian
