  1. Ben, I've often wondered this myself. I'd like to find the build thread for the '59 Skyliner Cheers, Ian
  2. The Misses and I are just relaxing today.
  3. I've used bleach to remove chrome from plastic for years, works great I just used Purple Cleaner engine degreaser to remove hand painted acrylic paint from the Ferrari I'm working on.. Works pretty good, but it has to sit for a while before it can be scrubber off. Cheers, Ian

  15. John, It may be a little off topic, but its still interesting stuff. In hindsight, we can see how the corprorate minds were thinking about standardization, what works and what didn't(i.e. Edsels), etc..etc.. All in all, I'm still going to add the kit to my stash Cheers, Ian

He's a member of some club down there, but I'n not sure which one. If you're interested in contacting him, PM me. Cheers, Ian

  20. Dude, we all go through it. Just ask superhornet1015, I've been bugging him to finally finish something. He hasn't finished anything in almost 2 years Cheers, Ian
  21. trey, Welcome aboard, man I use super glue for pretty much everything. I'm primarily an aircraft builder, so I use super glue to fill seams, attatch parts, etc. For smaller subassemblies I use this stuff called Tenax 7R. It's one of those liquid solvent glues that "welds" the parts together by slightly melting the plastic. Applied with an old Testors paint brush. Neat stuff. If you can, avoid epoxy glues, its really sticky and can get on everything, especially clear parts. If you decide to go the super glue route, I would recommend keeping a small bottle of nail polish remover close by.... It works great to break super glue bonds if you accidentally glue yourself to plastic(don't ask me how I know this ) But, keep hanging around here, and you will definately learn stuff. I have Cheers, Ian
  22. Chuck, Didn't Arii or Aoshima also release a '72 GTO? I bet that one is real treat as well.
