Mark, You definately need to post pics for this one! How do you get the plastic to conform to the cars shape? Just glue it, or heat it up and flatten it out? Cool idea, Cheers, Ian
-
Thanks for the info guys. I've heard nothing but good things about Modelhaus, and after viewing the links Foxer sent me, all I can say is: WOW what a selection of resin! Would I love to snif around in that place for a while

THIS I would like to see -
Hey all, Does Modelhaus post pics of their goods? I've been to their site many times, but I can't look at anything. Am I doing something wrong, or are they just protecting their products? Kind of frustrating when I want to look at Pontiac or Edsel parts and all I get is a blank screen Cheers, Ian

Way cool!!!

The last time I saw a swing in temperature from 120 above during the day, to about 29 at night, I was in south central Afghanistan No thanks, you can have it. Bisbee, huh, My unit was there working on the border fencing in Douglas for 3 weeks back in '08 Bisbee reminds me of Houghton MI, a town near me with a rich copper mining history just like Bisbee built into a hillside Except, I always said Bisbee is like Houghton on steriods. Man, Bisbee is almost surreal I'd go back to visit in a second BTW, there is a company here in Da UP that build roof trusses specifically for area like here. They are built to withstand Michigan Upper Michigan snowfalls. The company is called Skandia Truss, located just south of Marquette, MI. You want your roof to survive the winter, they're the people to call Cheers, Ian -
OK, well, my pics are back. Good news Bill, got the instructions, thanks Cheers, Ian

Hey all, I got these in a box of parts, and I need some help identifying it.. I believe it's a 1963 Chevy Impala, but I'm not sure..... I'm guessing it might be Revell(?), but I don't know which version. It would be a great help to know, so I can begin the long journey of tracking down parts to restore it BTW, I wasn't sure where to put this post, so I did it here, I hope nobody minds Cheers, Ian

Hey all, Finally got a camera to take pics I'm still working on the AMT '58 Vette and the Lindberg Jeep.. The Vette is painted with Tamiya Acrylic Laquer paint. Great stuff, but rather pricey The Jeep is in a base coat of primer and silver in preparation for a dark red color.. The rolling chassis'.... Still have to flock the Jeep interior.. So far that's it..... Cheers, Ian

Guys, I usually don't say much when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I feel this discussion, (and the other thread) is getting out of hand, so I feel I must speak up There are always going to be diffeneces of opinions, and thats cool, thats the beauty of online froums, but when you start bashing other members, it has to stop. When I first joined the online modeling community years ago, I was a hardcore aircraft modeler, and I enrolled in a certian Aircraft forum.. I notice very quickly that threads would get way out of hand and turn into name calling arguments... I'm starting to see some of that here, and quite frankly, its disturbing. I got tired of it and finally quit that site. I haven't been back since. All I wanted to do was learn, talk airplanes, and have fun, not get into arguements with "rivet-counters".. "Looks like an F-4 Phantom to me" I really like this Forum and the people here, please, don't let that happen to this site..... My $0.02 worth Cheers, Ian -
Dan, Thats an idea...

Hey all, Just a quick question, What are some tips to make chromed headlights look like regular headlights? I painted my '66 Bonny headlights silver and they look like ######. I'm still not sure how I'm going to fix them... The AMT '58 Corvette I'm currently working on has chromed headlights, and I'm wondering how I should go about making them look more realistic.... I thought about drilling them out, but there isn't much to work with... I am definately open for suggestions Cheers, Ian
