  2. Definately the red rims Looks good! Love those bare bones muscle cars
  3. Nice job on the body work Nothing wrong with glue bombs, gives you a clean slate to do whatever you want
  4. Hang tough buddy. No matter how prepared you think you are, you never are. Godspeed to both
  5. Nice job on the resto
  6. Gloss Black is good. I can do that Steve, yup, thats what I figured. Not a big deal. I was actually after a replacement decal sheet more than anything. Thanks guys, Cheers, Ian
  7. Toby, Nice job on the paint and foil. Airbrush or rattle can? I'm working on restoring a stock '59 Vette that my brother-in-law gave me. First coat of primer went on the other day. Looks like ######. Needs more body work and a good wet sanding Nice job, looking forward to seeing the finished product Cheers, Ian
  8. This is cool stuff. I never knew any of this. Too bad those molds got tossed. No wonder those original Johan kits are so blasted expensive
  9. Hey all, Can you, by any chance, order replacement parts from Lindberg? I've ordered from Revell/Monogram over the years, but never Lindberg. I'm missing a few parts from that Jeep I'm working on. AND, Mopar guys, can anyone tell me what color Chrysler/Jeep painted their engine blocks on '92-'95 Jeep Grand Cherokees? There isn't much on the WWW Thanks, Cheers, Ian
  10. Great, now maybe he will actually build something
  11. Looks great! Can hardly wait to see some more
  12. Beautiful!
  13. Matt, Welcome aboard! Hang around here long enough, and you're sure to learn something Been modeling since I was 11 (46 now), and I'm still learning Cheers, Ian
  14. I clean up the part, them BMF the part. Works for me
  15. Mike, That is so cool!!! and its in great shape. It looks like the same color as my convertible. It's Arizona Gold. Now if we could get a model of THAT!! Cheers, Ian
  16. Hey, where can I get a copy of that '68 dashboard? I didn't realize there was a difference between the '68 and '69 dashs. I have a '69 GTO that I'm planning on converting to a '68. Got the front facia and rear bumper, but the dash?
  17. Thanks Jim Now I need to research some paint schemes
  18. Well I'd just like to finish something. I haven't finished anything since April, and that was an F-84 Thunderstreak.. HOWEVER....I have these on my workbench as we speak... Lindberg 1/20th scale Jeep Grand Cherokee, any idea what year this represents? Mid 90's? The Ferrari, acrylic paint removed and ready for the first coat of primer Waiting in the wings.. Three '69 GTOs. I'd like to convert one to a '68, but I undertand there are some differences? I have the front facia with the different turn signals and the rear bumper, but what else do I need? '66 Bonneville and a MPC '76 Ventura, and a 65(?) Vette Now, weather or not I finish these is another story, but I'm sure going to try.. Keep you posted.. Cheers, Ian
  19. Chris, Yeah, turns out that the paint is brush painted acrylic. Once I found out it was acrylic, Purple Cleaner made quick work of it.
  20. Wow, interesting article from Brad. Lots of "what-ifs" had Cadillac been more cooperative with Revell, instead of the usual corporate mentality... Cadillac really missed the boat on that one
  21. Chris, I'd be more than happy to relieve you of one of those I can't afford to buy a case of kits, however, I do have multiples of kits bought over a period of time Case in point, I have 22 Revellogram 1/48th F-106s Why? Don't ask, because I couldn't give you an answer
  22. My first model cars came from my cousin who was older than me. When we used to visit my aunt and uncle in Detroit, he would have a whole bunch of the old AMT kits with the wild box art in his closet, and he would give me a couple to play with. The boxes were covered is spray paint. It was way cool. My first real car I built by myself was a Corvette, and I remember it was way too complicated for me. I think it was an AMT kit..
  23. Sweet paint job!
  24. samdiego built the '59 Skyliner, perhaps there was no build thread(?)
