Guys, Actually, I just ordered some parts from the Modelhaus, so that part is taken car of. I have a spare chassis from one of my 65 Grand Prixs projects, so, that should take care of that problem, The interior might pose another issue, however, I will try a 65 Bonny interior to see if it fits... I think '67 was the last year for Tri Power, so a Pontiac motor should be easy to locate... I need to start disassembly to see what is salvagable...... Keep you all posted.. Cheers, Ian

OK all, I have borrowed a camera, and I'm posting pics for the Glue Bomb Invitational My 1934 Duesenberg. This is actually a combo of two Dueseys, one yellow, one tan. Just prepping the parts for primer. Combining the best parts of both to make a presentable car.. The other entry, AMT '65 Grand Prix ....And the last one..MPC '67 Bonneville ragtop. Yeah, this one should be interesting..to go back to stock, I need to locate an interior, chassis, and a stock motor... I will try and post pics as I can. I need to buy my own camera. I will try to keep up with my rebuilds, as I am bad for not posting pics... Cheers, Ian

Ron, That is SO cool! I will follow this one, as I cut the roof off of a newer tool '58 Edsel to make a ragtop, and I haven't got past the painting stage I hope to get it done someday.. Cheers, Ian

What I would like to see, kind of along the same lines as your talking about, would be a book of some type, similar to the Sqadron "In Actions" that Armor and Aircraft use.

aaron, Yup, I' ve seen some people try to sell their built stuff for ungodly amounts of money, problem is, people are willing to pay it Skip, I could use some info on colors, engine colors, interior, exterior, that sort of thing. I just picked up a '31 Rolls Phantom coupe (the black one), that needs some TLC, but it was never painted. I've noticed that the older Monogram instruction sheets are lacking somewhat on paint color callouts. But, they're still way cool Cheers, Ian

Is anyone doing in progress pics of classic cars builds? I would, but I don't have a camera I'm rebuilding a Monogram '34 Duesenberg, (the yellow one) It slow going becasue its a glue bomb. I was hoping to find someone who has junkers for parts. Newt doesn't have anything, because I already checked.. EBay is one of the possiblilities, but even junk classics are rather pricey Anyway, Keep the info coming...... Cheers, Ian

Beautiful work! Skip, I just picked up the Monogram Cabriolet myself. I have no intentions of trying to reshape anything. I'm just going to build right out of the box BTW, what color is that blue? Guys, this is great stuff! Great pics and lots of info I never realized there was such an interest in the old "Classics" I would like to see more builds here in the forum I do have a question...the old Pyro car kits...how are they? Whats the quality like? I've never built one. They're all over eBay. Are they worht picking up? Is it true that Lindberg reissued a lot of these cars? Are these kits worth picking up?
