Mark, I would love to have a '64 Bonny wagon. Who made it? R&R? Why not include the Johan Ambulance/Hearse? I believe R&R also made some Pontiac Ambulances as well. Early '60's?

R&R has alot of Pontiac Wagons. I have the '65 Bonny wagon, and I've seen several others, including the '67 and '68 Bonny wagons. They also have a bunch from the late '50 and early '60s HTH, Cheers, Ian

Erik, Now, see, I was told different by a guy who runs his own hot rod/body shop. He uses exclusively Tamiya Gloss black under Alclad chrome. According to him, the black Alclad supplies, sometimes doesn't dry properly and can leave a dull sheen on the finished product. Maybe it depends on surface preparation... His stuff is amazing, so he is obviously doing something right...of course, owning your own body shop definately doesn't hurt Matter of preference, I guess

Casey, Yeah, Thats how I fueled my modeling addiction also. The local drugstore, 2 blocks from my house, sold models, there was a J. J. Newberrys and a F. W. Woolworth store about a 10 minute walk from where I lived...good stuff, great memories.. Alas, all the local stores are gone now, and I have to drive 100 miles to visit a real hobby shop

I like all the old box art! Reminds me of when I was a kid. I'd like to see the '62- '64 Grand Prix reissued, and some of the late '60's MPC Pontiacs as well..

Update.... Got the warp out of the hood. Dipped it in almost boiling hot water and worked the warp out. With some tweaking, a little sanding, it fits pretty good now... Thanks for the tips, folks.. more pics when I get a camera Cheers, Ian

Gary, I'm not sure what kind of paint scheme I'm going to do yet. The Bonny kit is an R&R resin kit. It has a full interior, but it will take a little work to get it to fit properly. I was going to put an engine in it, but the chassis casting is kind of rough, so I might skip that and just glue the hood closed, as long as I can get the warp out of it. All in all, its a decent kit. Since '60s Pontiac kits are hard to come by, I would probably buy another one, Cheers, Ian Roger, OK, I'll give it a shot, thanks

Justin, Alclad chrome is the closest match I've found. Make sure you polish all the scratches out of the plastic before you spray, otherwise everything will show up. HTH, Ian

Hmmm, I also use Easy Off, but I've also started using Purple Power to strip chrome. That might help take off the pesky undercoat some companies use Cheers, Ian

Hey all, My modeling ADD kicked in and while I'm waiting for the primer to dry on my Duesys...I broke out my R&R 1965 Bonny wagon... However...I ran into a snag that I could use some advice with...... Check out the hood fit...quite a twist and.. Again.... I tried to get decent pictures, but I haven't figured out how to get clear up close shots yet. I ran it under hot water, and that didn't help... I could really use some help on this one..
