  1. I know it would be a lot more work, but I think intergrating the Challenger taillights/rear bumper would look cool. I don't know how the width's of each compare, but from the photo it looks like the major work would be in filling in the stock taillight buckets with a some trimming on the tailgate.
  2. Most excellent, love the color and wheels.
  3. My mistake, we were talking about the giant hobby show with him sending me a lot of pics of the show when we started talking about dioramas. He started sending me pics of the airport, fire convention, etc. I thought he was still talking about the hobby show. We'll his English and my German aren't so good...haha, so the mistake. The airport and many other dioramas are in display in Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg. It has the largest model railroad in the world. To get more info visit their site at http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com/ and go to the Exhibit page. It's awe inspiring.
  4. A friend of mine in Germany was just telling me about this and had sent me pics of it. After seeing the video the pics just don't do it justice. He told me the aircraft take off and land to the flight schedules of the Berlin airport. It can be seen at a giant hobby show they have annually in Germany in April. I've been amazed at all the different displays they have. We need something like that here. Here is another diorama of a Fire/EMS convention. At first I thought he was talking about a real convention until he told me it was a diorama. I wished I had saved the higher resolution pic I had. It's unbelievable!
  5. Beautiful job, now I'm going to have to get mine out of the closet and build it.

    Willys roadster

Thanks for the comments everyone... I've been the same way, I love the Willys, but have gotten tired of seeing pretty much "the same old thing" all the time. Tried to do something a little different.
  7. I got the idea for this about a year ago and have been working on it between other projects. I cut the roof off, fitted a filler panel from a Mustang Mach III and used sheet plastic to blend in the center filler to the center console. I rounded and angled the hood, front fenders and headlight buckets. While filling in the blower hat hole in the hood I gave it a slight power bulge. The rack and pinion was flipped to the front of the control arms to make room for transplanted fuel injected 340 oil pan. The exhaust was made from aluminum tubing and parts box mufflers. The Mach III exhaust port was used for the taillights. Paint is Duplicolor dark ming blue metallic with clear coat, wet sanded and polished. Enjoy and thanks for viewing.
  8. Jim, pm sent and with a copy of a complitation I created for our clubs website. You can post your list by doing a copy and paste in the editor instead of attaching a file or document.
  9. If no one would mind I would like to paraphrase this thread and post it on our club's website. I will pm the finished list to anyone here who would like it. Let me know if anyone has any objections. Thanks
  10. Thanks Bill for the information. So he is looking for a pre-facelift Liberty. I checked around on my Jeep sites and found one, allthingsjeep, but they currently show out of stock and Maisto doesn't list it in their catalog any longer. There is a radio control 1/18 Liberty on ebay that would take some work to detail it properly. Liberty
  11. Jeep Liberty and Cherokee (acutally Grand Cherokee in the years requested) are two different vehicles. I own a Grand Cherokee and would like to see if there is a kit too. There were two makeovers in the years you have listed, 2005 and then 2007. 2005 was a major change while 2007 was a facelift. Jeep Liberty Grand Cherokee

    2011 Camaro

    I'm lovin it, good job
  13. For being "thrown together" it's beautiful. Which yellow is that?
  14. I'm a big fan of the model master and tamiya lacquers and would not use anything else, but the color selection is limited and I'm now having difficulting finding them locally. I tried duplicolor for the first time and couldn't be happier with the way it layed down and selection of available colors. But as several had suggested, test, test, test.

    !970 Camaro

Looking good and the stripes turned out great. What did you use to mask them?

    70 1/2 Camaro

Thanks for all the great comments everyone. I never expected this many respones. It made it worth the problems I had building it. "Is that chrome foil on the air cleaner?" Yes it is BMF. I painted the air cleaner first, then filled in the center with the BMF. "How about some chassis shots?" This is the only one I have at this time. "awesome build, excelent detail, where did you get the accell coil from?" From one of my favorite and quality suppliers, Morgan Automotive Detail. "However, with no inner front wheel wells the fenders and front end have nothing to attach to... so they must be floating by magic!" Only the wheel wells were removed the side supports and radiator core support still remain.

    70 1/2 Camaro

I built this AMT 70 1/2 Camaro Z28 from an artist's rending of a ZSS I found on the web. I lowered and set the stance with lowering blocks on the rear axle and flipping the front spindles. I removed the front inner wheel wells and re-tubbed the rear to fit the snap kit concept Camaro wheels. I cut the roof panel out and buffed and polished the black to imitate the glass roof in the rendering. I cut up a grease splash screen for the grille. The kit stripes didn't want to cooperate and I was lucky I had scanned them before trying to use them. I made my own stripes and ZSS lettering. The bumpers were dechromed and painted with the rest of the body in duplicolor gm medium metallic blue with several coats of model masters ultra clear lacquer, which was buffed and polished. Thanks for looking and enjoy...
  18. Off to a nice start, I'll be watching this one.
  19. Very nice...
  20. Very nice, I liked the way you tailored the fenders in the WIP, gives me a challenge on a future build. Good luck with the contest.
  21. Latest completion with scratch built front frame and subframe connectors for 41 willy's gasser front suspension and street rod engine. Finished in Model Masters sublime green and sterling silver. Thanks for looking...
  22. Beautiful build, wish I had a 1:1 version of it in my garage. Good luck with the contest.
  23. Great tutorial, thanks Dr.
  24. It's been 6.50 and 6.99 here in N. Idaho/Spokane Wa for the past year. I understand the difficulty in getting Tamiya paints. My local hobby shop that carried Tamiya paints burned down several months ago. The Hobby Town in Spokane doesn't seem excited about keeping it stocked and this was before the quake in Japan.
  25. Depends on the agency. Our agency disconnected the rods. The fleet manager wanted to keep modifications to a minimum so there was less of an impact the resale of the vehicle when it completed its duty cycle.
