  1. I had thought it looked like. A per session in the dust bowl in the 30s. or maybe the Beverly Hillbillies. LOL. Tim
  2. Can I get one with less stuff. I wouldn't need the wheels and tires, possibly the chassis either. I would be converting into a 2 door. and build it the way I am planning on building my 1:1 2 door. I know that the 2 door production ended in 87. A rounded box 2 door would look bad azz. Tim
  3. Rob, that dart would have a 2.2 turbo. LOL. I would go with the leaning tower of power, 225. MMMMM let me think. 62 Chevy II with the iron duke 4cyl. Lots of ideas flowing for both. but the problem is going from the brain to the hands to the table. Tim
  4. Rob, I actually like your P2P idea. Would be a challenging build. Especially going with the original rules. Tim
  5. While I don't have anything new to throw on the table this year. But I will make plans to attend next year. Once I have something done. I just need to get my happy ass to the hobby desk and start working. Tim
  6. First GSL then NNL (for why NNL was formed) going. I attended the 15th NNL and had Larry Hornsby take a couple of entry's for the 16th. Sad to see it going. May see if I can make it back for the final ha rah. Anyone know what the theme will be for the final NNL. Tim
  7. Sorry but life got away from me this year. Work has been nuts. I have barely gotten to the bench at all this year. anyway in my limited down time at work I have been thinking of next years cannonball theme. My thoughts where maybe out there but seems like a fun one. How about one that combines Death Race with Mad Max Fury road. Anything goes. The name of the game is to be first from sea to shining sea. by any means possible. OH, by the way it is after global devastation. Once the flag has dropped it is every team for themselves. Rocket launchers, machine guns, oil slick, land mine laying Etc greatly encouraged. Back to reality, This is my ideas on a fun 2019 cannonball run. What is yours. Tim
  8. I hope the weather cooperates next year. Got turned back in Limon, CO. This year. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH mother nature. I even have a station wagon to throw on the table, if I can find it. LOL Tim
  9. I was hoping to make this but the weather stopped us in Limon, CO. Luckily was able to head back west or would have been stuck their. Tim
  10. Rob, Just need to get off my tail and get the picture posted of my entry. Just need to find someplace to host it. Tim
  11. IIRC, there used to be a quite active IPMS chapter in Sioux Falls. They did an annual show as did Rapid City. Tim
  12. What I am looking for is the suspension components. The parts that one would need to complete one of those bare chassis sold. But wheels & tires and interior are also play an important roll in completing the pro-touring look. Tim
  13. Depending on weather. I may try and make this. Provided I have something to throw on the table. Tim
  14. What kit is that? Is it the kit engine? More ideas. LOL Tim
  15. I will be in for one, two or six. LOL. Yes a wagon would be absolutely fantastic. Tim
  16. With the popularity of Pro-touring. Does anyone know if any of the aftermarket companies are doing any Pro-touring parts. I have seen the bare Pro-touring chassis on Ebay. But it is bare. you have to source your own suspension and drive train. Tim
  17. Crud, Now I have to finalize my thoughts on what to build. Tim
  18. I have used my H model for years. got it in the early 80s. I like it better than my testors double action. I prefer it over all. Tim
  19. I would wait for the starting thread. I'm sure Rob will be putting up one. Tim
  20. I am not sure if the 69 Chevelle wagon I got several years ago was from this same seller. But it was from Ebay. It is a nice casting I have actually turned mine into a Buick Sportwagon. using panels from the Monogram GSX kit. still haven't finished it maybe some century. Tim
  21. Larry, are you offering the 77 Can Am? How are the 73-75 Buick Centurys coming? I would love to do one of each 73-74 Gran Sport and a 75 Indy Pace car. Tim
  22. Way cool. Looks great. I just wish I hadn't traded the 66 Fairlane wagon I built. Using the AMT kit. Tim
  23. I have used fuzzy fur and other flocking material. But I can never get it to completely stick to the adhesive I am using. (Paint or elmers) I usually get about 1/2 maybe a little more to stick. What could I be doing wrong? I do agree that the embossing powder looks great I need to hit up the micheals next time I am over in Cheyenne. Tim
  24. I think what Rob has in mind. is you can use what ever engine you want but cannot be in a V configuration. 4-6-8-10-12 what ever has to be in line.
  25. I am building a replica of Year One's BRE Trans Am. some consider it a super car. Pro-Touring at it's best. custom chassis, custom suspension, custom body work the whole nine yards. Tim
